Man, I'm so glad I finally have a place where we can talk about our interpretations of the Nazi's economic policies. There's so few places on the Internet where people are willing to make obtuse comparisons to the Nazis, but who knew the Fantasy Flight Star Wars RPG forums would be the place to go. I can talk narrative dice and fascist economics in one place - such convenience!
THE END IS NIGH! S&S is shipping (Also, gimmie da spoilers!)
Did they write up this one somewhere?

Not really. The rise of capitalism, started in the 15th century, created the conditions for the free market ideology. But there never been a true free market, without any taxes applied to trades.
Free market, capitalism, socialism, etc... Are all economic or political ideologies, sometimes both, that are never fully implemented in the real world.

I'll double check when I get back to my copy but I'm pretty sure it's in Dawn of Rebellion.

The market has existed as long as people traded fish for jerky, and before capitalism we operated under mercantilism which is also part of the free market ideology.

Well given that the Empire is modelled on the Nazis....

Maybe some walkers we're missing. I can't find official write ups for:
- AT-OP (Open Transport)
- AT-HE (Heavy Enforcer)
- AT-DT (Defense Turret)
-
AT-MP (Missile Platform)

I want to see stats for the Imperial patrol transport or LAAT/le (or one of the three other names it goes by).
Also the separatist destroyer, and the other separatist capital ships that are missing.
Those saucer ships Hondo’s gang has.
Edited by EoenI’d like to see stats for the Mandalorian Kom’rk transport ships/fighters from The Clone Wars animated series.
Wow, this thread has been quite the roller coaster, hasn't it?

I think an Old Republic book is unlikely. A book on the High Republic (the next setting focus for comics, games, TV, and film) is more likely. It's also a good place to bring SWTOR characters and storylines into new canon. The rumors and suppositions around Revan and the Jedi Crusaders might end up in the High Republic Era (a mere 400 years before the Skywalker Saga rather than millenia).
I've read the rumors about the High Republic era and if that does end up being Project Luminous, I could and would like to see a source book covering it.
However, I hope the rumors about Revan and all that are untrue, or they will have to change a great deal of the story, at least as it is in Knights of the Old Republic. Changes like Revan never being Darth Revan and things like that would not sit well with me.
Not sure why people think Project Luminous has anything to do with movies or TV shows when all the announcements only mention novelists & comic creators.
At least one of the authors involved has tweeted specifically to stress that people should not expect anything movie/TV related, saying it is strictly a publishing-only effort.

Rebellions are built on hope?

Agreed.
If Revan is not "Revan the Redeemed" then you've tossed out the point of the story.

I’m glad I didn’t stand by believing everything was peachy keen. I’ve been procuring all the missing pieces I needed for the game and bracing for impact. I got my extra dice, a full set of books, and am ready to carry on without FFG’s involvement for years to come.

Unfortunately I started late. Completed my Force and Destiny collection but haven't touched Edge or Age. Unfortunately it's going to be hard to aquire those. Good thing my fiance, my friends, and I are more fascinated with the force aspect of things and I do have Dawn of the rebellion, collapse of the republic, rise of the seperatists, and the Age/Edge core rule books. Between those we can easily have material for those games. Do wish we had all the Career books for edge but I'll try to acquire them over the years. I didn't believe things were hunky and dory too. Splurged 240 on the FND career books. Just wish I didn't discover the game so late.
Now I got to get starship and speeders.
Hey, don't talk to me, talk to Crazy Ralph!

Because two (presumably) reputable sources hinted as much. First it was a Hungarian source (which I know nothing about), which was followed by Jason Ward/Makingstarwars.com who corroborated the leak + embellished on it slightly. AFAIK, Jason Ward is somewhat reliable. Not 100%, but he absolutely has inside sources.
Now, there has been counter-info that claims the upcoming press conference/business reveal thingy next Monday (24/2-2020) will NOT contain any info on films or TV-series.
That is, AFAIK, everything we have at this point.
