Why is this company so incompetant at stocking retailers?

You do perhaps realize this IS a forum for those who love to play a game of plastic starships from a galaxy far far away?

Where else would their air their concerns and frustrations?

New players can't get Armada products. Not a problem for the game's health? Or a source of frustration for those who haven't gotten 5 of everything?

And this you have no patience for?

And shame on those who do not agree with you?

I've been on this forum 5 years or so, and well... you perspective is, I think, unique.

I've loved my share of FFG games over the years. How to do so for many more to come.

But they still suck as deadlines and restocking both.

Express frustrations? Sure, fine. Whine and moan and berate the company as “incompetant” [sic]? No, that makes you look like an entitled manbaby.

“Whaaaaaa! I live in a place that doesn’t have good distribution! This is an outrage!”

No. It’s annoying, but it is not commensurate with the rude, entitled tone expressed by OP. Have a sense of f—-ing perspective and realize that the inconvenience of not having great distribution is not an outrage, it’s an inconvenience.

Then I'm very happy we were able to annoy you. I hope to continue to do so in the future!

Might be that I try to come up with something in the name-calling department. I'll let you know when I get something that can compete with manbaby.

But enough joking.

When looking at the inventory of local (and not so local retailers) they have almost nothing. NOTHING. The new stuff gets sold out in the blink of the eye... and then they can't get any more. Distributor can't get hold of anymore. There just isn't any to be had - because FFG isn't producing any.

It's just not good for the Armada communities of the world that expansions are so hard to come by. And you know what, I will continue to complain about it. In fact, I quite enjoy complaining about it.

That does sound good. Do they distribute outside of MI do you know?

They do! Although Episode 13 is a limited release so not sure on its availability. I live one mile from B. Nektar, get their stuff all the time. Goes great with gaming!

At this point i can't even find overpriced second hand ships I need.

Plenty of cr90s and Nebulons and victorys, but can't find ISD, Chimera, light carriers, Arquitens, raiders, gladiators or fighter packs.

When the majority of my chosen factions ships just do not exist for sale, how the heck am I supposed to play?

ISD - FFG Website; Miniature Market, below retail price

Chimera - FFG Website; Miniature Market, below retail price

Fighter Packs - Imperial I (FFG Website; Miniature Market - Regular price), Rebel I (FFG Website; Amazon, regular price - 1 left; eBay, regular price), and Rebel II (FFG Website; Miniature Market, regular price - 1 left, eBay, regular price)

Sorry, but can't help you with the Quasar, Arquitens, Gladiator, Raider, Imperial II Fighter Pack, or Rogues & Villains.

Hope this helps!

It was easier and cheaper for me to get my hands on miniatures for a out of print game (Halo Fleet Battles, 2 ships, 6 flotillas) then get conversion material to make them work for Armada... than it is to get the newest expansions for an active game. The local area I am in has few players, but I cant even get people to really get into it because there isnt enough to get and our store owner cant even get product to sell.

I paid 10 bucks a piece for 1 B-wing squadron and one Y-wing squadron on ebay because I really wanted them. Of coarse not long after that the packs came back in stock and I got one but ah well... I do feel what you guys are saying though.

I have a few stores around me that carry armada products, x-wing too if your into that... Im in Michigan. If any of you guys that are close by need locations I can let you know.

Okay does ffg have some challenges and for some reason face challenges with restock orders of existing ships. Yes yes it does.

Having said that lgs do not do themselves any favors. Far too many are special order holes that dont support games past MtG and gw. The simple truth is if they use tier 2 and 3 distribution and take weeks to place orders and dont give preorders plus stock when new units come out than the entire supply chain struggles.

I visit between 20 and 30 unique game stores a year and I can count in 1 hand the ones run like a real retail business. Most too often refuse to carry viable stock on their shelves this making it a self fulfilling prophecy on of a game will succeed on their store or not.

Ditto for Seattle. But unless these stores are being restocked it’s not a long term solution.

I’m looking for a Gladiator and MC30 to “complete” my collection. But I refuse to pay more than retail so I will just have to wait. Hopefully FFG restocks them sometime soon, but if they don’t, it’s hardly the end of the world. I already have plenty of content for dozens and dozens of more games before they ever are at risk of feeling stale.

AsmodeeCanada has Arqs and Glads as of last week.

Peltas too.

... But thats it...

I mainly play historicals but love Armada. I had a certain amount of money to spend on new stuff. It was a toss up between buying some rebel ships to start their fleet (I only collect Imperials at the moment) or buying Hannibal's Carthaginian army. The Armada stuff is either unavailable in the UK or at ridiculous prices. Still my Carthaginians are coming along nicely.....

It's a good job I have multiples of every Imperial ship and fighter, apart from the SSD and to be fair that's just a personal choice not to pay a three figure sum for a gaming piece. I simply cannot afford it. Tell you what though if I was a newcomer looking to get into Armada I'd give up and try something else.

Sure, I'm a grumpy 54 year old but for the love of God FFG either scrap the game or supply it properly. Either p#ss or get off the pot.

Compared to the big dog of warhammer this game is super affordable. I have multiple of pretty much everything and have probably spent less on Armada than a warhammer army would run you these days.

But yeah the lack of product in stores is a bummer. I've never played Armada in a local store without at least a few people coming up and ooing and awwing over how cool it looks. Then if they ask how to get involved and I go check on the store's stock... source.gif

Hobby Titan and Amazon have in stock Gladiators at around $29

Thanks. Just orders a gladiator on amazon for my brother. I’ve been looking all over for the imperial light cruiser and the raider. $100 is too much

Doesn't help much, since I'm in Australia, shipping costs from the US are pretty insane man

I feel you.

I had the starhawk on preorder, got the message they will be shipping soon, had a look at the cost of shipping and went nope.

I want the ship, but im willing to wait a couple extra months to get it cause im not paying THAT postage cost. I could buy an extra starhawk and more with that, was not impressed.

Same here I paid for my pre-order of the starhawk when it was announced still no news. Which is ridiculous considering other parts of the world have had it now for a while. My FLGS still has no Idea when it’s going to arrive.

Don't worry guys, the one Gladiator at German Amazon dropped 3€ in price and if 149 euros don't excite you there is now a second one on offer, used for the small price of 178 euros. 🤣

This.

We have a couple of new players in our local group and they can't get the ships they want, they are frustrated to wait 9 month for a restock ... that is a problem to keep new players.

Still 3 gladiators available on Amazon for $23.96 plus shipping. Assault Frigate for $49 but it looks like there is only one.

If anyone ever happens to see a light carrier let me know! 🤣

Also, the fact that upgrades only come with expansions compounds the problem. I don't like worrying about losing my friend's copy of Minister Tua I can't easily replace (hasn't happened yet, thankfully).

Not saying you or anyone else should do this but since all the art is available online it is, in THEORY, possible to download the cards, create a word document for mailing labels set at the card size, import how many copies you want of each upgrade, print to pdf, upload to Office Depot printing service choosing a card stock with book cover finish, single page, and for $5-$6 have 150 different upgrade cards in various quantities you only need to now cut out. ALLEGEDLY.
