I am a HUGE proponent of Ten over Braylen these days. Cheaper, and can ditch his own stress, even if he doesn't get rerolls on both shots, I like the versatility

Dutch seems perfectly functional as-is.

I, for one, really like Jake with Predator - I thinks it's easier to proc his pilot ability and Predator than his pilot ability and Outmaneuver.

I would upgrade to Garven over Jek any day of the week!

I'll try Ten Numb and Garven. Garven rubbed me the wrong way a while back after going many games in a row without ever spending a focus token, but that was probably just bad dice. Ten has the same problem Garven does in that his ability will only proc if you can roll a focus result, and unlike Braylen he can only modify one roll. Though, being able to clear his stress on an attack or defense could make up for those short comings.

Predator is not Hyperspace legal and of the talents that are, Outmaneuver seems like the best option.

Garven is definitely hit-or-miss...but I think he has more potential than Jek "dies in a ball of fire quickly" Porkins, especially for synergistic purposes

Ten at least has the potential though to ditch his stress. If he can't he's only a little worse than Braylen. If he can (and having a lock should make that more likely), then his maneuverability skyrockets above Braylen

Whoops, forgot about the Predator thing! Yeah, Outmaneuver is legit then!

For the 4pt price difference between Ten & Braylen you can get FCS on Ten and have 2 points left over. With two attacks you have twice the opportunity to roll a focus, although ideally you would use FCS on the first and stress-focus on the second to get single mod on both attacks. With Jake (or Garven) around you have a chance to add natural focus to that stack so then you can double mod with stress on the first and have regular focus on the second.

On the flip side, if Garven does trigger you can end up with full mods for both attacks if you're using Braylen so he might be worth the 2pt premium.

I agree with nitrobenz. Braylen is worth the difference

Maybe I should consider giving Dutch Proton Torpedoes. I've heard at 53 points he fits into any Rebel squad.

Dutch with ProTorps, and just ProTorps, is, shall we say, phenomenal, in pretty much any list, although at I4, locks are not always guaranteed on priority targets
