Armored Assault - AAT Trade Federation Battle Tank

Can't wait for this. That last droid pilot looks really powerful since adding vehicles to droids will definitely mess up their order chains but not with that pilot! Super excited to get this thing on the table

Super happy that the OOM pilot does pretty much exactly what I expected. And it's cheaper than I feared it might be. I can't imagine ever not taking it and a Linked Targeting Array.

Yikes.

I think you're better off not paying for the High Energy Shells, since Range 4, Barrage, with 4 red dice, Crit 2, High Velocity, and Impact 1 is already good enough...... lol

But, Arsenal 2 with two HV weapons, Crit 3, 6 red and 1 white, isn't bad either.

I like it for those turns where you (inevitably) have to move with the tank. Lets you advance and still keep a lot of red dice and crit for an infantry shot. Pairs with the range of the main cannon quite nicely. Doesn't seem great against armor (unless you're unlike me and roll lots of surges regularly), but you could save your other ordnance for that sort of moment and let the shells cycle.

With the T-series Tactical Droid and Aayla Secura, I hope we see CIS and GAR specific neutral command cards in the not-so-distant future.

Keep in mind that the OOM pilot can't be given an order token through Coordinate so your order chain must start with the AAT to get the most mileage.

I think that makes it even better. This allows you to start with an AAT and end with a B2. Everybody (droid) wins!

Seconded!

Or end with any future droid troopers, such as the all-but-confirmed BX-Series Commandos.

Barrage with Lok Durd seems fabulous. Two attacks of 4 reds each with critical 2 on a unit that can't use dodge token and will take 4 suppression? If the target survives, they will be running off the board.

I don't see how that's better. Being able to be a part of the order chain is great, but being forced to be at the start isn't as it's less flexible.

True, but I don't think you get more than one use out of Lok Durd as you'd likely not want to be using an action to refresh outside of removing an Ion token. Or does removing an Ion count as its own type of action?

It is better than being given the same verbiage as the B-2's have as that would mean only one of them could be in that order chain.

These are the droids we are looking for

To be fair Lok Durd + High Velocity shells would let you double suppress 2 targets every turn, just not 4 on the sane target every turn.

Where are High Velocity shells? All I can find are "Bunker Buster" Shells, High-Energy Shells, and Armor-Piercing Shells, none of which have suppressive.

With high energy shells and the main gun split firing that leaves you a turn to ready Lok Durd and the high energy shells back every turn. The only downside is the tank can't move if that's what you're doing.

Looks like Ion is going to be making a big come back!

For real! Taking away an action from this tank would be insane especially if it was planning on using Barrage that turn. You can limit it to one attack instead!

omg. we need additional pilots so we can hot swap them in with magnets. Anyone have a line on this?

I am pretty sure they said in the live stream they would have multiple pilot minis.

Can't help but think the AAT is far superior than any other tank. The new saber tank seems pretty weak against this monster.
