Reinforcements, KOTS Robert, & Kneeling costs

By Madduxx, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Questions from tonight! As always please forgive if these have been asked before. Appreciate the help!

1. When reinforcement character cards are on the table (i.e. Winter Reserves) as characters, once killed do they go to the dead pile?

2. If you play a reinforcement character (i.e. Winter Reserves) from your discard pile using KOTS Robert, "If Robert Baratheon is the only King character in play, he gains: 'Any Phase: Kneel Robert Baratheon to play an 'Any Phase' event card from your discard pile as if you just played it from your hand. Then, shuffle that event card back into your deck." is it played as a character and then shuffled back into your deck?

3. Confession says, "Any Phase: Kneel 3 influence or kneel a holy character to look at an opponent's hand. Then, discard 1 non-limited card from that hand." Does that allow you to kneel anyones holy crested character?

3.1 Similar question for cards like:

Assertion of Might, "Response: After you win an unopposed challenge, kneel 4 influence or kneel a war crested character to claim 3 power for your House. (Limit 1 per phase.)" allowing you to kneel anyones war crested character?

The Raven's message, "Limited Response: After you reveal a Power Struggle plot card, kneel a character with a power icon to kneel all characters with an intrigue icon. (Limit 1 Limited Response per round.)" allowing you to kneel anyones power icon character?

Thanks!

1. Yes, when a character dies it goes to your dead pile.

2. I don't see why not, but maybe I'm missing something with the event card turning into a character.

3. No, because you can't pay costs of events, character abilities, etc. using cards controlled by your opponent.

3.1. See answer to 3.

FATMOUSE has some incorrect answers here:

1. No. When a non-character card is acting like a character and dies, it does to the discard pile instead. This is in the FAQ under the section for other card types acting as characters.

2. No. When the event card becomes a character, it is only considered to be a character at that time. As such, the "shuffle the event..." bit doesn't apply. There is also a much more complicated answer involving the moribund state for events, but I won't get into that.

1. Guess, I should look over the FAQ more often lengua.gif

2. Yeah, I wasn't too sure about that one.

Thanks for cleaning up my dirty work gran_risa.gif
