Other debates about other topics should be covered on other threads with other titles, imho.

Tubb, I agree with much that you say, but I do want to point out that the sort of unit activation system used by Legion and Bolt Action was NOT invented by Alessio Cavatore. Systems like that have been around for at least 30 years in numerous other wargames. Ditto with pinning and quite a lot of other aspects of both Bolt Action and Legion. Very little that appears in games today is actually original, it is just a new way of assembling components which have been around for a long time.

A named character is a bit different in terms of approval than an entirely new type of Stormtrooper I'd imagine. "Hey, we want to have a character who is a Mon Cal sniper, can I have the naming conventions for this single member of the species?" As opposed to "we want to make a Stormtrooper type of which there would be thousands to millions in existence, so people might wonder why they've never seen it before."

I'm sure the heavy weapons are difficult enough to get approved, and that's with using as many as possible from Battlefront.
