On the face up side, they're red, all my other FO stuff is olive green....
Do the Tie/bas have the wrong color dial backgrounds?
Conversion kit FO dials were that dark olive. New printed FO dials are red.
Oh .. really? ... what the
Oh please, this is far from the worst mistake that FFG's printing department has made...
Yeah. That C-Roc base plate was a pretty bad screw-up.
I have trouble saying "wrong" because I don't know that it's unintentional, but certainly it's inconsistent. Out of expansions, TIE/fo and TIE Silencer are grey, but my TIE/sf and TIE/ba are red-edged. I wouldn't mind it, except that the conversion TIE/sf are red, so if I ever fly 6, there's one oddball in there.
I'm also irked by my Saw's X-Wing and U-Wing dials, but that 2e-preview stuff was all half wrong anyhow.

I kind of like it; sometimes it helps me keep straight which was which. Just have to be a little intentional about it.
But I also traded away all of my Ace pack Interceptors and Bombers for the plain ones so they would match, so I definitely get where you're coming from.

Huge ship conversion dials are red too.
Except for one of mine: accidentally put the imperial raider into the FO dial back and vice verse: both are raider dials so the same printed moves and I didn’t feel like going back to fix it.

I might have you on that: I assembled one of my huge ship trackers so the numbers are upside down. I kinda gotta fix that one. 😆
I noticed the red dial edges when my friend put it on the table with his other FOs, but I thought it was intentional because it's the first not-black FO ship.
All his other FO stuff is conversion kit so I didn't know the reprints were getting red dials too.

Do they have wrong dials? What else has mistakes?

Black background with a grey arrow, instead of red with a white arrow. There's a lot of stuff in the Saws/Reaper where they just had different choices about the cards. Little Rebel symbol, instead of the word Rebel in the requirements box; different wording on Advanced Sensors; stuff like that.
On a semi-related note, any way of getting replacement dial kit ship tokens? Ordered some FO ones and can’t find my SF ship id’s for them 😔

But anything that invalidates the game piece?

Dials, no. They're the same except for color, which is only irksome.
A lot of the upgrades have been errata'd due to wrong early text, so it'd be better to use newer ones, but it's all fine.
The inconsistency drives me nuts. It’s the same red as republic too so in a match against republic got them mixed up many times.

This actually drives me bonkers for the Republic dials, firing arcs, and dial kits. They're all different colors. I have NO clue why.

I half think there was an accidental palate swap between Republic and Separatist firing arc colors, too late to fix it.
The blue would go quite well with Sep blue/gray ships, and the blue on their dials, but tan arc.
Meanwhile, Republic have that tan on all their dials and frequently their ships... but blue arc.

I dunno, I think the CR-90 dial fiasco has the missing blue line beat.
Although FFG's scramble to re-write the rules in a "we totally meant for that" way when it was pointed out that they screwed up was laughable.

Dial colors are made to fit the aesthetic of the faction, so the Separatist dials are in the same color scheme as the CIS fleet colors (ref: the Separatist drones and hyenas vs. Trade Federation drones).
The ship arcs are made to match the color of lasers they fire. Rebels and Resistance have red, Imperials and FO have green, just like the X-Wings and TIEs in the movies. Republic clone ships fire blue lasers. Droid fighters fire an orange-ish color, which is subtlely distinct from the orange lasers of the Fang fighters from the Rebels show. (Yes, I've been watching a lot of CW and Rebels recently, getting my money's worth out of my D+ subscription)

Beat me to it, I was going to say the colors of base plate arcs are matched to the on screen lasers and dial rims are complimentary to the color scheme on the other side.

Does that mean the CROC can now stop and rotate 45 degrees?
Cool.
