Not sure if this has been asked, but I presume the Wing will remain intact if all members have Afterburners and trigger them at the same time?

Only the wing leader needs afterburners. If used wing mates then form up as normal.

I wasn't so sure. I based my thoughts on the comments about the Slam action where the wingmen need the same action in order to stay in formation. However, Afterburners isn't an Action.
@Gallanteer the Afterburners Boost is an action. Wing mates can’t perform Boosts or Barrel Rolls, they form up once the Wing Leader has performed their action(s) and then take an allowed action (if they can).
SLAM actions are a special case, where wing mates need SLAM on their actions bars or they split from the wing if the wing leader SLAMs. Note though the wing mates can not perform SLAM actions and they form up as normal but gain a weapons disabled token.
Have a look at pages 5-6 of the Epic Battles Rules Reference https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/69/e7/69e76fa5-61e1-4c8a-9c07-05a222b58420/01_swzepicrulesreference_v110.pdf
Wings are very powerful, much like the dark side.
Hope that helps.

Fair enough.
By the same token you could have a squad of XWs, the leader with its sFoils closed to boost and the wing men having their's open and get both benefits.
It sounds so broken but fun and I'll take it.
Having the s-foils closed on the Wing Leader and open with the rest is an integral part of wing tactics with X-Wings and absolutely legit.

maybe legit rules wise, but stupid and illogical in practice.
I would have have made it so wings have to all perform the same action, would have avoided all this silliness.
I'm unsure where the problem is, to be honest.

Theme. When an x-wing closes it's s-foils, it's supposed to be in "cruise mode," and go faster. The wingmates shouldn't be able to keep-up if they're not also in cruise.
In games we frequently sacrifice theme for the limitations of physical components, space, game balance, etc... So fine, cruise, boost, and barrel-roll the wing leader, and let the wing magically keep up while still getting their own actions. I understand that this is supposed to make the large games smoother and more streamlined, but it doesn't feel good thematically.
I just chalked it up under the Wing Leader doing his leader thing for which he supposedly was promoted to Wing Leader.
Wingmates being able to take advantage of abilities of the wing leader is just stupid and probably was designed this way to “streamline” epic games. I hate the wing leaders’ interaction with wingmates and the wing tool. So broken.
Of course this was the design principle. I love it.
