No Legendary Character Type in Revised Rules

By Yipe, in Tannhauser

The revised rulebook doesn't include anything about Legendary characters, so I'm assuming that character type has been removed from the game.

This means Zor'ka is now susceptible to special abilities activated on the roll of a natural 10 (or 9-10 in Barry Daniel Brown's case). I imagine this is because the Union's Flash Guns no longer have the insta-kill ability, but it does mean other weapons (like Strafe and Krueger) will be quite effective against Zor'ka, and the BG-42 can cancel out damage done by her.

What do you think? Do you like the change? Will FFG bring back the Legendary character type when Daedulus is released?

I just noticed this while reading through the rules. I can't comment on the mechanical difference between legendary and non-legendary figures as I don't own Novgorod (yet). I did, however, like the fluff that there are these "Legendary" heroes that are above and beyond normal heroes. I think it added more flavor and allowed for the inclusion of things far beyond the norm (like a god's avatar or mythical minotaur- though I'd prefer the Reich minotaur to the Disney one).
