I’m loving the skirmish rules!

By Drizzl3, in Army Building

As the title says I’m totally digging the new skirmish rules. I like the army size and play time so much more now.

anyone else trying out skirmish and if so what builds do you like so far?

I need to try it out! A full out 800 pt game seems so intimidating but Skirmish seems to hit all the right notes with the same stuff I love about Legion.

These are two lists I'm considering. I had moderate success with two other lists - a Vader / Dewback combo, but lost in round 5 [edit] due to only holding 1 of 3 objective locations, and did fairly well with Veers / Bossk.

if you are playing official skirmish rules you only play 5 rounds not 6.

Nice lists BTW, I feel like having an ATST in a list is quite intimidating for opposing lists, I have yet to play a skirmish game but am keen to know how it plays with the objectives and whether a 200 point unit in your squad pulls its weight when it cant claim objectives.

Sorry, I meant round 5.

I'm worried about exactly that for the AT-ST but the armor and high health I'm hoping more than offsets that.

Atst Can claim objectives in skirmish games.

Actually in skirmish every unit leader Can claim. And the atst is an unit leader.

But in skirmish, objectives are often to have more unit leader than your opponent. Si I Can understand it is better to have more units leader than your opponent. Unless you play elimination for which it should better to have few but very tough units
