Create Energy

By Sharnadale, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

Hi, i'm having some trouble figuring out the Create Energy spell in the Book of Creration.

The main thing is, it has a maintenance cost. So i'm assuming it can be maintained from turn to turn. But if I hit someone with the spell, do I have to roll to hit them again the next turn?

For that matter, do I roll to hit the person, or do I just hit the area they're standing in?

Any help would be appreciated.

Create energy has a maintain cost for if you are creating a torch or something that you dont want to run on natural fuel.

If you use the spell to say create a x intensity fire on the person in order to do damage to them, you would roll projection against the person's defense with associated penalties (as it is an effect spell, you can make it invisible). you wouldn't be able to maintain the spell to continue doing damage, as that is fueling the spell instead of the person burning.

Since it is only creating an intensity, and not over an area, you need to roll against the single person. You would not be able to cast this against a group of people as it would be a separate cast against each person. The number of intensities determines the base damage of the spell (intensities x5 is the damage of the associated type).

Okay, thank you. That's very helpful. :)
