Odd question. A ship (overlapping the station) is attacked by another ship. Line of sight
from base to base
is unobstructed. Line of sight does not go over the obstacle between bases. However, it is unclear whether the targeting dot is over the station obstacle. Dot to dot
might
be over the obstacle, but that part of the obstacle is obscured under the ship.
Is the attack obstructed?
Please indicate in your reply which rule section makes this clear. Rules state that if line of sight is drawn over an obstacle, it is obstructed. Rules mention nothing about line of sight drawn over a ship that is overlapping a portion of the obstacle.
Line of sight while overlapping obstacles
Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?
Okay, so they *did* put it in the FAQ.

OBSTRUCTED
Q: While a ship is overlapping an obstacle and the attacking hull zone’s traced line of sight does not pass over a visible portion of that obstacle, or another obstacle or ship, is that attack obstructed?
