This is way outside my comfort zone but something I've been wanting to try. I know it may not look to good on paper but in theory I dont think it's to bad.

Braylen with deflectors might actually work. He can reinforce with a TL from Dutch and link into a red for stress. This gives him reinforce, TL, and rerolls for attack and defense. He can also pop the TL for the double tap tractor beam to help set up shots for the Y-wings.

Dutch is there to share the TL as usual but can also set up the cluster mines with help from the ions and Braylens tractor beam.

The gold vet is there to help annoy with the ion turret and to spread the damage around some with selfless since having a squad of 1 agility ships makes me a little nervous.

Finally the A-wing squad leader is simply there to give Braylen his third action. This one could probably drop down to a Phoenix squadron pilot, and might be better to save some points, but I like having two Int 3/4 on the board.

I'm not expecting great things from this squad but curious to see how it would preform on the table.

How does Braylen link into anything in this context?

There's no linked action off the Reinforce added by AD. He can't link off Dutch, because Dutch doesn't give Braylen a target lock action , he just lets him acquire a lock. You can't link off something that isn't an action.

Even if Dutch was an action, Braylen doesn't have any linked actions that come off a target lock. The S-Foils let him him link a white roll into a red lock, but not the other way round.

Angled Deflectors is a bad upgrade. It's probably nearly at its least bad on a B-Wing, where it doesn't change the half points threshold, is on a one agility ship where reinforce has a chance of doing something and still leaves you with three shields to protect from crits. But it's still really bad.

You have to block at least two damage before it does anything to make up for the lost shield, and that has to be damage that you couldn't have blocked with another action (because if you could block the same amount of damage with a focus token, it wasn't worth investing extra points to get reinforce). So you're basically taking it for the situations where you roll an evade and the attack is three hits, or the times you blank out and Braylen's re-roll returns another blank. Twice.

Given that it costs two more points than a Shield Upgrade on a B-Wing, you kinda want it to be able to block 3 damage that couldn't have been blocked any other way.

FCS is totally pointless on Braylen, by the way. The chances you'll completely blank out on all 3 dice are so low that it's not worth building around. Give Braylen his stress and he should have all the re-rolls he needs 90% of the time.

I think Dutch and double tap tractor Braylen has potential, but you really, really want to be capitalising on that squad-wide Wedge effect by having other ships that can actually kill things in there. Dutch already has ICT. More ion control beyond that is probably pointless. Drop AD and FCS off Braylen and use the points to take two Selfless Red Squadron Veterans instead of the Gold and Green if you want to be able to spread damage around. They also offer way more damage potential after Braylen sets them up.

Alternatively, take Garven Dreis and Jake Farrell. Jake's ability to hand out focus tokens is on par with the Squad Leader Green Squad, but he also gets to benefit from some action economy and won't necessarily stress himself to do it. It also gives you a list of all I4s, which can be really handy. Garven also lets you pass focus tokens to Dutch for mods all round. You've still got some points with that, especially if you drop Cluster Mines down to Proton Bombs. I'd think about Selfless on Garven, Outmaneuver or Proton Rockets on Arvel. If you're running Dutch, you might even consider Cluster Missiles on Jake, as Dutch can pass him the lock to fire them.

What are you going to Link off of Target Lock on Braylen? The B-Wings linked actions are: Focus > Red Roll from the ship, Roll > Red Lock and Roll > Red Evade from the B-Foils.

"Dutch" also does not grant a Lock action, just a Lock on the same target to an allied ship within 0-3 of himself.

Best case scenario for this activation is for Braylen to do a Focus > failed Roll for stress and get a Lock from Dutch to enable double tap. Then again with Tractor Beam, that's not as potent.
