i getting into armada and i'm wondering what to get for rebels

Hello and welcome! I'm not a rebel player, in fact, I'm actually pretty awful at this game, however, most rebel ships have a place in a list it really depends on the kind of experience you want to have.

I definitely recommend a core set to start, and perhaps some rebel squadron packs. From there it's really up to you. Rebel ships tend to favor broadside attacks and typically require clever flying as opposed to imperial ships tending to be more front arc, more brawler types made for direct action.

I'm sure someone here can elaborate further and give more specific advice, but I would say buy ships you like. It's such a cinematic game, and while you're learning the rules, I wouldn't necessarily focus so much on being very competitive.

Just my two cents.

After the core set, depending on cash availability get a MC30, then followed by maybe a GR75 flotilla. Top this off with one of the Rebel large ships, but until you know how you want to play will depend which one. I would personally get a Squadron 1 pack after this, just using the four X Wings as your Squadron support until you get used to the game. That’s my thoughts anyway. Welcome to a fantastic game!

Get what you love, unless it's a Pelta. They can be fantastic ships, but take a fair bit of skill and fleet building experience to make good use of.

Everything else for the faction can be flown effectively with some practice.

I would recommend running Ackbar and an MC-80. The former is a commander with a very powerful yet simple mechanic and the latter being a highly survivable yet relatively easy ship to fly. Pad it out with a flotilla, maybe some Nebulons or CR90s and you should be good to start. For squads I would mostly run A-wings and X-Wings to start at about 70-80 pts worth just to keep bombers.

Def atleast two transport and fighter packs I & II.

I highly recommend 2x Liberty MC-80s and 1x Home One MC-80. One Pelta. No more than two.

A friend uses Sato, 2x Pelta, 1x Liberty MC-80 and fighters alot. It's not bad list.

Also both Expansion packs.

I saw a good list at a Tournament with 2x Assault Frigate Mark II's and a MC-80 Home One.

I have everything and atleast 2 copies of the larger ships. You can get good deals on Armada stuff sometimes on Facebook groups and store sales.

I use to buy from The Collector store but they seem to have stopped selling star wars minitures board games.
