Stress, strain, deplete

So we had this come up and really didn’t have an answer or a president for such a thing happening previously. So a ship does a 4K through a gas cloud. Gains a strain token after rolling a hit. Ship doesn’t get shot at and has both tokens going into the next activation phase. Ship does a 2 straight.

So does both the Stress and the Strain get removed for the blue maneuver or does only one get removed for performing a blue maneuver?

It seems as though since each token is looking for its own trigger separately they would both be removed. Though I suppose I could see an argument for only removing one token per blue maneuver.

As per the rules reference:

Check Difficulty: During this step, if the maneuver is red, the ship gains one stress token ; if the maneuver is blue, the ship removes one stress token and one strain token and one deplete token .

So, by performing a blue maneuver, you get to shed one of each type of token.

For exact reference, that is a direct quote from the Rules Reference (v1.1.0) p13, Check Difficulty step in the Maneuver section.
