I think you guys are missing my point. R4 has no bearing if Leia is used. So nothing is changed there, that option is always available. Adding R4 gives them ONE (1) additional option of not using leia, and doing a know, predicable, 2 straight maneuver. If they do not use Leia while stressed (and have no their abilities), that is the only maneuver they will do. That's what i mean by 'predicable'. Its giving the ship exactly 1 more option for pulling off that trick of triggering her ability while still clearing stress.

Its like saying Tie Defenders have alot of maneuver options, but what is the most likely one they will use? a 4-K of course. So if Cova is stressed, and a 2 straight will get her where she needs to go, why not program an alternate 'just in case', banking that you wont need to use Leia, and instead, just be forced to do a 2 straight?

*shrug* not sure if that makes sense to anyone else lol. Or maybe im putting too much confidence in people playing her that way.

That's a pretty decent comparison. The Cova+Leia+R4 combo doesn't have to choose which direction to go until they activate, and it looks like Lyianx remembered another i4 we all forgot who can do basically the same thing just with just her pilot ability: Countess Ryad .

In this case you always always program the red alternate so you get extra dices.
