Best books in the range

By DanteRotterdam, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Now that the game is in its latter stages I think it would be interesting to see what everyone’s favorite release are.

My top 5 (outside of the crb’s) is:

5.) Far Horizons (especially because of the homestead rules)
4/3.) Rise of the separatists/Collapse of the Republic (some of the best material available for the game).
2.) Suns of Fortune (Such a wealth of information about some of the coolest places in the SW galaxy)
1.) Lords of Nalhutta (Just the coolest of cool books...)

Nice, I love rankings:

1. F&D Core Rulebook--the most indispensable book in the line, which introduced the largest number of the coolest Force powers.

2. Rise of the Separatists-- just as you say, a near-perfect book

3. Jewel of Yavin -- I like adventures that introduce cool mechanics ideas rather than just putting together encounters resolved with combat and skill rolls

4. AoR GM's Kit -- Squad and squadron rules are well done, and absolutely essential for reproducing the feel of Star Wars movies on the table.

5. Not a book or a release, but I'll cheat and reserve a slot for the OggDude character generator, without which the game would be far less playable (especially at high levels)

Endless vigil Lightsaber construction rules. and investigation info

No disintegrations for investigation info.

Stay on Target. Starship combat, Astromech Rules Beast riding rules and mounts.

No Disintegrations: any GM, regardless of system, should read this for the investigation sections. Endless Vigil also for the narrative dice urban charts.

Far Horizons/Fly Casual: smuggling is a business after all

I don't really have favourites among the rest, though I tend to pay less attention to the techie books.

Nexus of power and strongholds of resistance have good planet background info

No Disintegrations, Fly Casual (loved the 'flavor' as they were my two first professions) and I also really liked the 3 most recent era sourcebooks.
