The guy I got the info from doesnt say anything about dates until he gets the info from the distributors themselves. And he has been right everytime before barring any last minute delays

Some FLGS will share the date they are told by distributors to their "regulars." Obviously this doesn't prevent the distributors from having the wrong date or course, or Asmodee/FFG missing the date entirely for one reason or another.
