Las Vegas Open tables

By KommanderKeldoth, in Terrain Building

Hey all, got back from LVO yesterday and wanted to share some shots of some of the amazing Star Wars Legion terrain. It was truly a great tournament.

Like the mix of styles of terrain...… 😍

These are all FREAKING AMAZING.
I especially like the Star tours and Naboo maps

I'm surprised that some have tons of LOS blocking terrain and some seem really sparse.

They are all great looking

Largest Legion tournament ever! They did a great job rustling up great looking tables, but yeah its always a challenge to fill that much space.

Way better than the 40k mats though, their tournament had over 300 tables!

Did any of those tables have barricades added to them before the battle? I'm seeing all these tables with little-to-no barricades and I feel like I'm overdoing it with the barricades. How many barricades do people normally use? Something, something, barricades.

24 barricades per game on average.

For a more serious response, it does not really make sense to count barricades... but it makes more sense to count the number (and the length) of light cover in general. I don't want barricades on my Green World, but fallen trees works the same.

They did not add barricades before games this year, in anticipation of Vital Assets adding the Improvised Defenses condition card in the near future.

Do you see a lot of light cover on those tables? I see LOS blocking terrain, a couple of them have some tree clumps, which would count as light cover in my book. But I don't see a ton of light cover. I'm just asking because I play with the same people over and over and we don't seem to have a ton of light cover either. I wonder if it was an interpretation issue. We perceive things different than others, etc.

Heavy cover seems to be much more prevalent in Legion games than light cover. Makes you wonder if things like Duck & Cover, Low Profile, and Smoke would be used more often if heavy cover was harder to come by.

Okay, that's what I've seen as well, I've never been to an event like this but I was just checking to see if others had the same perception as I did.

I would agree. Most of my terrain at home is LoS blocking or heavy cover
