I currently use “Armada FB,” and I love the interface, but there are a few typos and omissions, and it isn’t yet updated to include the Onager/Starhawk. I have also used Ryan Kingston’s Fleet Builder in the past, but at one point they did a major overhaul and I found it far more difficult to see everything “at a glance” for each ship.

Are there any other favorite fleet builders out there? Preferably updated with the new stuff, so I can start crafting while I await my two new ships for each side? Something that exports to text would also be cool, my group likes to share fleets a couple hours before games.

I've also used Armada FB on iOS, but lately I've been using https://flagship.barronsoftware.com/login?redirectUrl=%2Ffleets because it has the updated content, it does a very neat job of tracking RitR information (cool that our group can see each other's campaign lists, but not modify them even when we aren't loggin our battles through it), and videege is very active in fixing errors and making his text exports work with the vassal shrimpot on discord.

When crafting lists online, I use Armada Warlords.

When crafting lists on my Android phone, I use Armada Fleets Designer.

Hey, thanks! I like this one (I’ll be trying the other suggestions too, thanks all). Quick question: I pretty much have the controls sorted out, but I can’t seem to delete a fleet. How do you do that?

Can you explain this? I don’t know what a shrimpot is. I gather that Vassal is some sort of online play version of Armada... I may need to investigate this... I’m just slow to adopt technology sometimes. Is Vassal fun?

Vassal is an online tabletop - its a very simple top down icon (although nice looking) variant, as opposed to the full 3D Tabletop Simulator of, well, TableTop Simulator...

Its held together by spit, bailing twine and happy thoughts of some very dedicated individuals who do it all in spare time... But as it is, because it is all effectively icon based, it can take a while to individually load a fleet into it.

Enter the Discord, and our Loveable Shrimpbot. Who was programmed to take lists from the most Common fleet Builders (inc Warlord, FABs, Ryan Kingstons and others) and output it in effectively a macro format that can just be loaded all at once by the Vassal Tabletop.

Vassal itself takes a little getting used to, but there are Tutorials and Innumerable people online to assist typically.

Personally, I don't use it. All of my Armada play is Person-to-Person, because if I ever stopped doing that, I'd not talk to anyone ever again.

Without question I use Ryan Kingstons Fleet builder. It is highly visual and intuitive. It can be used for free but a very small donation lets you save and access fleets across devices. You can still save for free but its restricted to a single device.

Thank you for the Vassal explanation, Dras. Some of the guys in my group have used TTS a bit, going back to like wave 3 or 4. I never tried it myself, but they had positive experiences. Vassal always intrigued me, but I typically have access to live humans, so I’ve never tried either program.

Thrindal, I used RK’s Fleet Builder for a while, but at some point there was a major overhaul that just didn’t do it for me... though it is a bit quicker to add new expansions than some of the other programs I’ve tried. And there’s nothing really objectionable about it, I just do most of my Armada crafting on the phone-bot, as my laptop is rapidly aging and has a terrible battery, and... other problems, and I found that the interface just worked better for me on the big screen. I still do use it from time to time. Has it been updated with the Onager/Starhawk?

It is currently updated with all the previously spoiled content, Ryan always waits for high res images before updating so the few unspoiled cards prior to release still need to be added. He is usually very quick to update so I would expect all of the previously unspoiled cards to be updated very soon.

One thing that happened in the last big update that I will admit bothers me (although I deal with it) is the absence of scroll bars.

Loved Fab's Fleet Builder , not sure it's still being worked on though. Seems to be a fair bit missing which has been around for quite some time.

I just use Ryan Kingston. I know the guy. He loves the game. and it works perfect on Mozilla on my Iphone so my account goes across all my computers. I usually throw him money every year because I am pretty sure I use up half his storage ha.

I use both Ryan Kingston's, and I have the ArmadaFB for mobile use. Both are great, and at this point ArmadaFB is fully updated with Wave 8.

I love the Battlescribe, but it wasn't updated now for a while.
