Scum Hyperspace, what lists would you like to try?
Scum Hyperspace, what lists would you like to try?
Oh there's quite a few I want to try, though I'm not entirely fond of the format as a Scum player, feels like most of my fun tools are missing.
That said this list seems kinda fun/scary:
Red Skulls
Genesis Red (31)
Outmaneuver (6)
Tractor Beam (3)
Ship total: 40 Half Points: 20 Threshold: 2
Skull Squadron Pilot (47)
Outmaneuver (6)
Ship total: 53 Half Points: 27 Threshold: 2
Skull Squadron Pilot (47)
Outmaneuver (6)

Skull Squadron Pilot (47)
Outmaneuver (6)

Total: 199
I'm thinking Serissu, Rau, Boba and Dengar are scum's stars in hyperspace
Personally thinking about this:
Boba Fett (85)
Fearless (3)
Contraband Cybernetics (2)
Slave I (1)
Serissu (41)
Fearless (3)
Autoblasters (3)
Cartel Spacer (25)
Ion Cannon (6)
Cartel Spacer (25)
Ion Cannon (6)
Total: 200

Cartels annoy and hamstring a target, while Boba punches them really hard. And Serissu mitigates some incoming fire. Boba at range 1 with Serissu tucked up near him should give him rerolls for days.
What I'd like to try is necessarily different to what I am trying... Part of me strongly suspects I'll never get around to it, but I like the idea of trying a Spacer Fang Swarm. Currently we have an odd one out in the builder.

(27) Sunny Bounder [M3-A Interceptor]
(3) Autoblasters
Points: 30
Total points: 198
Ahhav simply because we picked up an MGT the other day instead of a 4th Scyk, on a coin toss. And spare points with nothing much to spend them on. Extra die against Firesprays should lead to amusement. Flying straight through rocks to roll and block is a good trick.
But 4th Scyk and some rainbow cannon is possibly better. Can drop Sunny to a Spacer and have 2x Ion/Auto.
Can also go 3 Recruits and 3 Jam Beam Spacers if feeling fruity. Might actually be tempted by this. One of them can be Sunny.
Fenn Rau (68)
Fearless (3)

are Crackshots Hyperpsace legal?

No, but as long as your list starts with Fenn or Boba it should be great.
Have had fun with this. Basicly run these in two pairs. Close together to focus fire an enemy ship. Genesis Red works good against low initiative ships as we all know. Not 100% sold on this, but having fun with it.

Serissu protects the group, until the right moment for Nom to throw the block, and the two skulls can close into whatever Nom blocks. Then the squad can turn around and get on the opponent rather well. If I had a third Fang I'd be sorely tempted but with cybernetics, and nine pieces of meat to chew on AND Nom's ability working even if stressed, I think he's the perfect 'throw it out' tool, to block with and get the fangs and Serissu easy targets. On the down side, she herself is really a big target, unlike the Boba list, or tucking her in with Rau, she might go down quick if not careful.

No, and neither is Kihraxz, Lone Wolf, or Elusive.
Edited by CerebrawlAttended a hyperspace tournament in Brno last weekend.
Out of 22 players 11 flew a scum variant. 9 of them featured at least one firespray (even double and triple existed!) Final top 4 were Scum.
Most prominent of them Was Boba with fearless, proton bombs, Maul, Slave title and hull upgrade. Wingman was Fenn Rau with fearless.
Other combinations were Boba with two Skull Squadron or with Koshka Frost.
I'm curious about this one:
Dengar (53)
Punishing One (5)
Ion cannon (6)
Cybernetics (2)

Probably not. Also on Dengar(and all other jumpmasters), pick cannon or pick title, it's a bit of a waste to double up. Serissu with tractor beam is good in swarms, not so much when you only have 3 ships, especially when it fires after one of them. Swap the ion cannon over to Serissu and you have 3 more points to play with.
You're probably screwing yourself by spreading yourself too thin to properly equip Boba as well, makes him much less durable, and less effective.
Hmm, actually, if you sacrifice the ion cannon, cybernetics, and fearless you can give Boba Maul. Swap Serissu to Autoblasters while you're at it.
This might work as a minimalist/bare minimum build to squeeze them in.
Dengar (53)
Punishing One (5)

I like the look of this.
How about this for a minor tweak?
Dengar (53)
Punishing One (5)
Tractor beam (3)
Ship total: 61 Half Points: 31 Threshold: 5
Boba Fett (85)
Slave I (1)
Perceptive copilot (8)
Ship total: 94 Half Points: 42 Threshold: 5
Serissu (41)
Tractor beam (3)
Ship total: 44 Half Points: 22 Threshold: 2

This gives two tractor possibilities at a minimum I5, with one being at I6.

I made a similar list. Fearless on Fenn and take off ion cannon and contraband. It leaves a 5 point bid. I don't think you need anything on nom as he's a health beast for blocking purposes only. So far I've played 4 games with it and have used the bid for nom to move first more then fenn last. Moving before droids can really ruin their day as well as other generic spam lists. Obviously you choose for fenn to move last if they have a 6 but because of the lack of 6s in hyperspace most games your bid is used for nom or Boba. Contraband isn't necessary as Boba has a rear arc so doesnt need to ever do a red manouver. I think I've done 1 in 4 games, maybe I would have done more if I had cc but the predictability of your next go doesn't make me feel very good especially when you have slave one to swap directions. The more I play with it the more I feel you need to use fenn as bait until noms in their face and make the bad decision of shooting him instead. Because your other ships are so healthy you want to engage with fenn when they make their choice of target so by the time they turn to fenn he's r1 with half their list left. The most important thing I've learned is in the endgame if fenns alive you win, if he's dead you lose. You want to trade your points with your opponent so make sure you've taken out 86 points by the time Boba dies Ect. If this leaves fenn moving last with 70 points worth of opponent's ships you've most likely won.
I’m excited to try boba because I never play him, but seems really good in hyperspace now
but I am wanting to give 2 m3a’s, specifically genesis red and Laetin a go. Can fly them with dengar, boba, fenn or whatever really.
But this list I want to get to the table a few times and try it out
New Squadron
(44) Tel Trevura [JumpMaster 5000]
(6) Ion Cannon
(6) Dengar
(2) Deadman's Switch
(5) Hull Upgrade
Points: 63
(31) Genesis Red [M3-A Interceptor]
(6) Ion Cannon
Points: 37
(45) Manaroo [JumpMaster 5000]
(6) Ion Cannon
(8) Perceptive Copilot
Points: 59
(30) Laetin A'shera [M3-A Interceptor]
(3) Autoblasters
(7) Snap Shot
Points: 40
Total points: 199
double focus with manaroo, lock manaroo with genesis red to give him double focus. Laetin can focus or evade, then if you get snap shot off you either hit the defender or get a evade. Manaroo Passes his 2 focuses or keeps them depending on what you think will be the target. Can fly Laetin aggressively and have multiple mods for opponent to chew through.
Trevura punishes people for shooting him with dengar and deadman switch. Then do trevura things and respawn and do it again.
good? Perhaps not, but seems fun and janky

Fenn does Fenn. GenRed tractors or shoots. The Skulls shoot after GenRed.
It's similar to Lindamood's squad at LVO or the FFF, but adds a tractor for... tractor things.
This has been fun. Just another variation of the Fenn/Skull lists.
New Squadron
(68) Fenn Rau [Fang Fighter]
(3) Fearless
Points: 71
(47) Skull Squadron Pilot [Fang Fighter]
(3) Fearless

That little Syck is a blast. Activates first, jams up the board, and alot of times I fly away and make him the only available target. Almost always use evade as his action.
Fenn Rau (68)
Boba Fett (85)
Fearless (3)
Slave I (1)
Nom Lumb (38)
Autoblasters (3)
Contraband Cybernetics (2)

Sad to say Fenn (HS) is no longer viable but Krassis Ion Cannon is 🤯
Base list as follows, get Maul/PerCo and u are good to go:
Sunny Bounder (27)
Krassis Trelix (65)
Ion Cannon (6)
Boba Fett (85)
Total: 183
If I can get a game in any time soon:
Fenn Rau (68)
Fearless (3)
Ship total: 71 Half Points: 36 Threshold: 2
Sunny Bounder (27)
Ship total: 27 Half Points: 14 Threshold: 2
Serissu (41)
Ship total: 41 Half Points: 21 Threshold: 2
Genesis Red (31)
Ship total: 31 Half Points: 16 Threshold: 2
Cartel Spacer (25)
Ship total: 25 Half Points: 13 Threshold: 2
Total: 195
The extra five points could be a bid, could upgrade the Spacer to Laetin. Dunno. Not totally sure about Genesis Red.
I'm doing very well, and having a lot of fun, with three Bounty Hunters, two with proton bombs and one with seismics. Just won a tournament (16 players) with them today. I had some very favorable matchups, which helped, but they're still a solid all-around list that lets you screw up once a game and still survive.
Tried this today
2 wins 200 to 43 and 200 to 118 and a very narrow loss (needed 1 damage from Laetin at range 3 to get half points on a fire spray for the win - the spray had no mods and Laetin had a focus - no damage - boooo)
Fenn - Outmaneuver
Skull - Fearless
Laetin - Snap Shot & Ion Cannon
Mining Guild Surveyor with Squad leader
196pts
The MGT did good work coordinating and the snap shot lottery with Laetin was great fun.
