Attack & evade monster, how it should work?

By KingOfWhomp, in Arkham Horror

Greetings to everyone!

Played twice and have some doubts about the correct understanding of the rules.

One question is bothering me the most for now :)

For example, I succesfuly attacked the monster and made him a damage of 2, his health is 4, so he is still alive, but has 2 damage.

Then, as my second action I made an evade succesfully too, so now I place the monster back on the map with his inactive side - he is exausted.

Is that correct?

And the question is - what about his damage with 2 hearts - do I place them with him on his card? And when he will later attack me or another player, he will still have 2 damages on him or he will heal?

How do monsters heal in the game?

Best regards, and thanks in advance :)

Hi, that all seems correct to me. Monsters don't heal in this game unless a monster card itself states that the monster heals one damage each round for example, I'm not aware of any that do at present though.

The monster would keep its damage even when exhausted and the card has been flipped to represent it's exhausted state.

Damage is accumalitve.

Hope this helps.
