Question regarding sorting/storing cards

By player537497, in Marvel Champions: The Card Game

Curious, do you all store cards as decks you can pull out and play or do you separate cards by type to then construct a deck when you're ready? I currently have 6 hero decks saved but I feel it limits me from trying new builds...

I usually sort cards by aspect, keeping the hero signature decks seperate. Right now I have 3 built decks ready to go.

I love deckbuilding and prefer to tune my decks to the hero so I keep as many pre-built decks around as I can. My Protection Iron Man plays very different from my Protection Black Panther and both are ready to play. Since there aren't enough cards available between Core, Cap, and Ms. Marvel to have decks for all 7 Heroes at once, I'm excited for the day when there are enough random Basic cards that I can build a deck with no Aspect so that I can have full decks for all existing Heroes at that point. Even if that Basic deck will be bad. ;)

I also like the idea of going the Smash-Up route and building 25-card Aspect modules then making random combinations to play, however I haven't tried this yet.

I have all my heroes sleeved and then one deck for each aspect made and sleeved.

That way I just grab a hero, grab an aspect, shuffle and play.

For some heroes, I have a side board written to tailor the aspect to that hero

Since anything beyond the core has yet to arrive where I am in the UK, I have all the heroes separate, and a set of Aspect+1 each basic prepared forpick-up play.

I actually think some heroes signature cards are so good that it won't matter if they're paired with all basic cards (looking at you Captain America).

When you can stun, thwart, resource ramp, deal damage, and ignore damage all at efficient rates in your toolkit, who needs support cards?

I just ordered the burger token boxes. I plan to use them to store the heroes + nemesis sets, then I keep my aspect cards in a binder. I'm a binder person 😛

I prefer to have the core set aspects separated with a basic set each for easy matchup when starting a game. The only exceptions being the premise Cap and Ms. Marvel decks; for the villain side of things I deconstruct everything except whatever I plan to play next time I open the box.
