The Blob that Ate Everything promo

By PickleTheHutt, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

The FFG pre-order for Blob shows a pre-order promo in the thumbnail image when ordering, but I can't find any mention of what the promo is in the article. Anyone know?

Pure speculation here, but I'm guessing it's the oversized (roughly 3" x 5" IIRC) Blob card that we used at Arkham Nights...

Yeah. That we used but couldn't take home. Unlike GenCon.

Yeah... I still don't get that. I mean, they gave away several in the prize drawings... but it seemed like they had printed a TON of them and that they could have done a few more and at least let everyone who played the event take one home.

The Blob that Ate Everything is a love letter to the B horror films of the 1930s–1950s. We love the over-the-top nature of these films that are often centered around a titular foe of strange origin that threatens life as we know it.

Sounds like an interesting premise. Does anyone know of films with this description and which would you recommend as an introduction point?

It's definitely not the oversized Blob card sadly enough. It's four art cards and all four are shown here.

Well, at the risk of the obvious... https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_blob

Beyond that, consider: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1004906_creature_from_the_black_lagoon https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/bride_of_frankenstein https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/godzilla_1956

And if you're feeling like you want to really, truly dive into B-movies, save your sanity a bit, and try the Mystery Science Theater 3000 versions. There's a decent chance your local library has the videos available for borrowing.
