Broadside doesn't need the VTG, and Wolfe will get minimal use out of his as well. I would rather spend those points on making the other 2 ships a little more useful

Wolfe with ExHan, Jag, Broadside with an ICT and R4, and Matchstick with ExHan, an ICT, and R4. Wolfe does his own thing, getting himself mods all the time, while Jag either punishes people who don't shoot him or draws fire. Broadside is Broadside, ever efficient, and he can lock Matchstick off the hop to give Matchstick refills as long as he's alive!

Played a game against a list last night that was Obi, Plo, Luminara, & Ahsoka all with CLT. The person I've played against has a lot of practice with it but seemed to be rather effective.

Wouldn't the Veteran Turret Gunner potentially give each y-wing 5 shots? Especially if you happen to get a ship in front arc with the turret in the front arc.

I've only flown Broadside once, so hardly an expert (!) but given his pilot ability you're generally going to want to have his turret pointing out of the side arc. From what I've seen, the best use of him is keeping him cheap. Because of his ability, his attacks are dangerous so he's hard to ignore, but equally 8 HP is an annoying amount of health to have to chew through just for 39 / 41 points, depending on which turret you take.

There's nothing wrong with Y-Wing / Turret / Veteran Turret Gunner, it wasn't long ago that they were a staple in the meta. However, your Shadow Squadron Vet is about seven or eight points more expensive than the Gray Squadron Bombers were last year. So it's just a question of whether it's still good value.

@Greebwahn 's point about Wolffe is more to do with opportunity. It's pretty rare that you get shots lined up in both front and rear arc. Obviously fantastic if you do with Wolffe's ability but I'd go as far as to say that against a decent opponent it's unlikely to ever happen.

Fair point. I'll have to ask if the person I played against has experience facing swarms.

CLT is all punch if your positioning is good and you have focus or force to spend. The third dice is a hit every time!

What about this? I can swap Plo for Mace the higher initiative but I like Mace for the 3 force.

maybe take one of the expert handlings off of the squad Seven.

I would suggest Matchstick over Broadside
