As a separatist player who didn't care for the cartoons (in it for aesthetics of the army), Cad Bane will only interest me if his abilities are fun. Separatist commanders are hella expensive (hella good too) so the idea of adding an operative to that mix isn't enticing. Commando droids and STAP's will be fun though and I am excited for them.

Cad Bane should have gunslinger, an electro-whip cord thing, Jump 2 with his boot rockets, and obviously, Bounty.

Yeah, Cad should be easy to predict, he should basically be the CIS Boba/Sabine flavor. Guns, bombs, immobilize tokens, flying, etc. His defenses probably won't be as hard but he should end up with nimble, he's a spry one.

Padme, huh...okay. It will be interesting to see what mechanics they give her. Rather surprised by this choice with so many other character options available and the fact they haven't done Anakin or Ahsoka yet.

Could be orders from the mouse? Padme got a book coming out, Battlefront 2 is getting a lot of good press now, and most of the TV shows are getting represented in this wave. And for more info just go get Disney+ for the low low price of $7 a month!!!!

I keep seeing/hearing that FFG is going to a quartely release model instead of monthly. If that is the case, since Cassian/Iden are due for release in April we may not see these models until June-ish?

be still my wallet! Although they’re kind of doing that next week with all the stuff that got delayed....

A while ago they hinted that they would change how they released products. For sure they said 8 a wave and that is what we are getting (6 CW & 2 GCW). This announcement will show us if they are doing a giant wave like X-wing or will stick to their old way. The last waves have been chaos across the board so having an answer will be nice

I am just hoping that BX droids are physically released sooner rather than later.

CIS is begging for those snipers. Padding the activation would really help give the faction a few options. I have hope that Cad Bane is the Han Solo commander (he did command a ship in battle), but I am just super happy we got him over Jango Fett.

Hmm, I had been assuming that Padme and Cad were both Operatives, but this info doesn't indicate what type of units they are. Could be like Han/Boba with Padme as a Commander and Cad as an Operative. Guess we'll just have to wait and see

ARC Troopers.....yay. I have a feeling Sniper Teams will be a part of this set.

AT-RTs.....a light vehicle to replace the BARC. I approve.

Pademe....meh. I'll wait and see on this one. Would've preferred an Anakin (commander) and Ahsoka (operative) boxed set as my clones are painted as the 501st.

Great to see a diverse array of new options for CIS & GAR, they really are in need of more variations for their armies.

I'm particularly happy about the BX Commando Droids, from reading about them the lore it would indicate that they have very tough armour and hopefully CIS will finally get a trooper unit with red defence dice! Those white defence dice are so disheartening sometimes!!

I'll be fine if their attack dice isn't white as well, lol

Probably not they're still using E-5. But they should be able to use Grenades and have some heavy weapons options, hopefully somebody gets a Vibrosword so their melee can be mean.

Pretty much my reaction every time she shows up in the movies, any episode in the Clone Wars, or the Padme book I am reading now.........................

Personally I would rather see Senator Chuchi as a republic commander, or George Lucas's Pandoran character(gunslinger lucas!) Or like Fives/Echo/Delta/Domino squad

Isn’t Senator Chuchi technically the VIP in the objective expansion they announced? Just use that model as a Padmé proxy.
Give Fives/Echo as a duo pack like Iden/ID10 Cassian/K2 and I’ll be happy

Yeah, they should have switched it around in my opinion, but I could do that.

Same.

Phase I or Phase II Arc Troopers?

I imagine they could do them as generic with both helmets to represent either or, like Rex. That would leave us with same stats for both, but I would be happy just to have more diversity!

All of these expansions should be hard plastic, so possibly the option for either. Although from what I can glean from Wookieepedia the ARC Trooper Armor isn't much different from Phase II armor to begin with.

ARCs were the beta test for the Phase II IIRC, or at least heavily involved in the testing process. The Phase I and II armor between ARC is pretty similar so it's mostly just a helmet and some slight ergonomic swaps.

t. Finally got around to reading Rise of the Separatists and Collapse of the Republic .

Only 1 GCW era unit? Already running out of steam it seems

I am assuming Clan Wren will be Rebels what with being associated with Rebels.

FFG did also state that they were going to be releasing more units for Prequal factions than GCW factions to help them catch up a bit, its finally starting to come through now it seems

Hardly. FFG said they were planning to scale back GCW releases while CW caught up. It looks like this is more of the release schedule we were expecting.

Yeah it took them awhile for the releases they were working on to catch up with when they started saying it - if this release layout is correct.

Not sure how legit this rumor is, since whoever wrote it used a product number format of "FFSWL##" instead of "FFGSWL##" which means it's probably just someone baiting us. I hope it's real, but somehow I doubt it.

Well, we'll find out in February, we know we have product announcements coming out (regular, non-paint announcements)

Thank god for clone ATRT. Get rid of those damnable BARCs
