I see the Huge Ship Conversion Kit available online, but did it ever get released in stores? I've been searching for it at every store I could think of and no one appears to have ever had any.

My local store had them for a minute. Haven’t checked to see if they restocked since I picked mine up.

Yep. Bought mine from a store. They're apparently back-order through the distributor now

Yes they were briefly in stores but sold out super fast. Our LGS hasn’t seen one since the initial order which was basically 1-2 of them above the preorders we all put in.

My wife surprised me with a second one from Amazon, I need to check to see how the Raider/CR90 ship tokens look compared to the last kit I bought (it had the short ones). Are you all seeing some kits that have good bases and others that don't?

They’ve been pretty consistently short, I believe. Easily fixed though with even just a pair of scissors so I wouldn’t worry.

CR90 I fixed with a sanding wheel on my dremel.

Raider I fixed by roughing the circle with a pair of scissors in store before a game

Yeah, I did the same. Totally not a big deal, but I was wondering if the batches were consistent.

Epic 2.0 is basically the best way to X-Wing, imo...

We tend to play with quick builds to make setup go a lot quicker. I have all of the quick builds printed out from infinite arenas and it makes setup and list building so much easier.

This would be fun. The community should make something like this happen. I like the thought of escalation over multiple games. Perhaps 4-5 rounds with each having a scenario. You could start out with 150 points of generics in the first game. Survivors could be turned to unique veterans in later games. Make a 4-5 game scenario with some branching options depending on who wins. End with a 500 point game with huge ships on each side. I'd play that.

I'm hoping to build some kind of a scenario where my nieces nephews and son can face off against the bad guys (me).

Just saw an epic & huge ship kit at my LGS, they exist, but are rare...

In my experience, most stores are treating them as special order items, as they're not going to sell in huge quantities. At most I've seen shops keep one on shelf just in case someone decides to pick it up. If you ask your regular local store to get one for you it shouldn't be an issue.

A friend was able to special order it, but they have not been able to fulfill my special order, and they have been trying for 5 months. This and the small card packs (hotshots, fully loaded and never tell me the odds) they can't get.

What the deal with these?

@Desmothenes44 that's really weird. I feel like I saw them at my local last time I was in. I checked their webstore to see if they had it listed so I could send you the link but no dice. ( Ooh, that was a good pun) have you checked eBay and things?

I haven't because I can't get together to play with anyone right now anyway! Also, since I don't buy a lot I try to make all my purchases at the store where I play (well, played before the play space closed due to the virus). I have just been surprised because I would have thought these would be a little easier to produce since there are no minis.

@Desmothenes44 I feel ya. I do the same thing myself, hence why I tried to get you to the locals info 😜 that's super weird. The products page had it listed as in stock for the FFG webstore. Maybe your just on the wrong end of some logistic trouble. The pandemic has disrupted shipping quite a bit. I couldn't get many citadel paints from GW for a few months here.

The distribution and availability has been horrible here in the US. We weren’t able to get Epic, Huge conversions, damage decks, card packs or the last wave, I was hoping that since asmodee was becoming a distributor that a lot of these issues would go away, but it’s still not certain that we will be getting the new wave even after preordering. I’m afraid it’s going to cause the local store to just stop bothering even trying anymore. And yes I’m aware some of these items are available elsewhere but I try to support the store I play in exclusively. I’m very good friends with the store owner for years before he opened, I’ve seen the orders placed and not fulfilled, it’s gotten harder to get this game since before covid and doesn’t really look to be improving anytime soon.

Even more horrible here in Northern Europe. Almost no Huge Conversion kits at all at first release in the whole country. Only thing you see are C-Rocs. I finally got lucky when the FLGS got a total surprise delivery of exactly one conversion kit in June 2020.

"Fully loaded" and "Never tell" one could get hands on in the second delivery bout (round April?). "Hotshots" was and still is totally impossible, nowhere to be found. I got some of the cards now in September(!) 2020 by finding a local willing to split the pack he was lucky enough to get.

Sweden here. I got my Epic Battles and Huge Ship Conversion Kit through the FLGS, on order. But it took about 3 months from ordering to it coming in.

Fully Loaded and Never Tell Me The Odds they got a couple of copies of when they released, and I bought one of each, but Hotshots and Aces they never got any, and I had to import mine online(from German scalpers, and also got some from the US at discounted price that ended up being same as retail, after shipping).

Quoting this one... It’s not just epic conversion kits. The small stores in Canada are not getting their orders beyond leftovers. Distribution is kind of messed up. Our local shop, which is close to the GTA “centre of Canada, etc...” cannot get orders supplied by FFG. They’ve stopped ordering stock, now.

Interestingly, they can get their prize support, but that comes through different procurement angles apparently.

I was finally able to get the Huge Ship Conversion and Hotshots and Aces from my FLGS.
Now to see how long it takes them to get my Heralds of Hope pre-order.

I have a 2nd huge ships pack unopened yet (since I'm waiting for another game to be set up...) just to potentially run double transports, gozantis, etc.
