Hello, is it possible to use a double-blade lightsaber with the rules for dual weilding? Or are them restricted to single-blade lightsabers?
Double-blade lightsaber used in dual weilding?
I can't find anything saying that a double bladed lightsaber is a two-handed weapon. Canon wise it can be duel wielded:
Though Krell is a big guy with big hands (and four of them!). So an Ewok-Jedi might have difficulties duel wielding two double blades.... 😄
GM discretion I would say.
Question is: Is the "Unwieldy 3" quality additive...??? 🧐
Edit/Answer: Since Cumbersome doesn't stack (answered by Sam Steward in the past), Unwieldy shouldn't stack either. But the effect does stack. So If you only have Agility 2 and are wielding 2 double blades, you'd have to increase difficulty twice.

Strictly by RAW, a character can dual wield a pair of double-bladed lightsabers as they're described in the corebook, given said weapon doesn't have the "requires two hands to wield" verbiage that weapons such as the vibro-ax, refined cortosis staff, and lightsaber pike have.
Granted, the person doing such dual wielding might struggle a bit given the increased difficulty of their attacks as per the rules on two weapon fighting, meaning that you're less likely to be able to get not only the initial hit, but have enough advantage remaining to trigger the Linked 1 on the primary weapon, trigger the hit with the off-hand weapon, and then trigger the Linked 1 quality on the off-hand weapon.
But if you do manage to get enough advantages/Triumphs to pull it off, whatever you were attacking is probably going to be very dead.
Thanks for the replies. I was thinking not in dual wield a pair of double-bladed lightsabers but just one. But I didn't notice double-bladed saber is not marked as two-handed weapon, as both GM and Donovan have pointed out. So apparently is legal.
Edited by arunwe2012I wouldn't want to roll any Despairs doing that...

I could see using a shoto as the primary weapon (to take advantage of the Accurate quality) and then the double-bladed as the secondary.
Tangential: this has inspired me to create a character with a double-bladed lightsaber that can be separated into two lighsabers for dual-wielding.
It should be noted that the Double-bladed lightsaber template profile in the lightsaber construction rules in Endles Vigil does require two hands to use. This is stated in ttable 3-11 on page 86.
Of course you can use a pair of double-bladed lightsabers, but that doesn't mean you should .
However, if you're going to do it, use a pair of those spinning Inquistorius versions and go into battle like an Osprey!

So if they turn in the wrong direction they crash?

Which only matters if the GM actually uses those rules.
There's undoubtedly a number of GMs that have tossed the entire item crafting system from across the various books right into the dumpster for a variety of reasons, with "too easy to exploit by munchkins to make super armor/weapons on the cheap" being a recurring one.

Saberswarm Hawkbat swoop and 1 double bladed lightsaber is an easier way to accomplish the same thing.

Depends on Force Rating and what Force dice are available. Saber Swarm is useless if all your Force dice are committed to effects such as Sense's defense and/or skill Control upgrades, or pumped into Enhance's Brawn or Agility upgrade to add more ability dice to your combat check, or some combination of the two.
But none of that is germane to the OP's question, and enough threads have been derailed by petty rules bickering, so I'm dropping this line of conversation.

As easy as using any other type of lightsaber. Saber Swarm does not add to the Linked 1 quality of the double bladed lightsaber.
It sets linked to a fixed number = force rating.
You can Saber Swarm a lightsaber of your preference while dual-wielding a double bladed lightsaber in your offhand to preserve its Linked quality.
I've been known to use a guard shoto with a reflex grip as my off hand just for parrying and reflecting.
