Magnificent Seven/Samurai

Next episode the Force User will be concentrating on getting to know her new Master and working on her lightsaber, so I think I'll throw a Kurosawa scenario at the rest of the crew for something to do. That's not a problem, but I always try to throw a twist in the basic just to keep things interesting. Any thoughts?

I'm using the Street Toughs and Gang Leader from Allies and Adversaries, but I also need to increase the difficulty due to high level pcs, maybe a boss too. Could use Ideas for that as well.

Twist: maybe the thugs are guys the villagers hired last time to keep them safe, but they reneged on the payment, so the current thugs are really just trying to get paid for work already done.

How about a three way battle involving another group that has a beef with both the PCs and the marauders?

Well, the third episode was going to have the empire come in and take over...

A) the twist probably doesn't need to be that signficant IF it's a notable change of pace from your usual sessions (the players having their own minions aspect)

B) idiot's twist: the villagers' farms are actually illegal spice! moral quandary written by a college freshman! x-treme!

C) I like the above twist of the empire showing up mentioned above

D) having a surprise in the actual combat could be worthwhile. I'm not saying to copy it, but the Marauder's AT-ST in Mando4 definitely spiced up the encounter.
