Gain a clue from “your” neighborhood. What does it really mean?

Hello!

I’m new in this forum and also to this game. I’m doing my first play through currently, but I ran into a question of interpretation.

Here is my scenario: my investigator is in Northside (where there is a clue) when he draws a spread doom token from the Mythos cup. The doom token is placed in Dark caves, Rivertown. The Event card wants me to test Will. If success I get a clue from my neighborhood. Now what does that mean? Do I get the clue from the neighborhood my investigator is in (Northside) or should I have taken it from the neighborhood where the doom token was placed (Rivertown)? No clue is in Rivertown so I won’t be able to take on if this is the case.

Hi,

I believe that by "Event card" you mean an encounter card. And you should always collect clue from the neighborhood you're in. In your scenario it would be Northside.

Just to clarify - Doom tokens and Clue tokens are completely different items that are printed on different sides of the physical item. Never, ever in the game you'll encounter doom token as if it was a clue or clue as if it was a token. Additionally you'll never flip the clue/doom token during the game.

Hope that helps!
