It’s seem like Taskemaster could also be a pain in the as for Iron-man or Black Panther.
Livestream Reminder/Discussion Thread!
"When are the mats going to ship??"
*slowly standing up from table*
"Hey, know anything about those mats?"
*slowly backs away*
"Wait! What about the mats??"
*camera falls over as the sound of running footsteps gets quieter*
Edited by manoftomorrow010It should not be so difficult to get the playmat situation addressed. Come on FFG!
That Widow's Bite looks amazing!
Rapid Response has me excited, but that's just because I am playing a Leadership Iron Man right now, and wanted more ways besides Make the Call to pull allies back into play haha. If only RR had the energy icon!
Overall, she looks solid. Grappling Hook and Covert Ops are my favorite from the cards revealed.
No obvious aspect synergies beyond what is her pack so she seems pretty versatile.
Rapid Response is crazy good. It is going to be even more agonizing to get Leadership decks down to 40.

I wonder if she got a single copy or not...

Is it any minion, or can you choose to use it on a tougher minion?

Responses are optional, so you can use it whenever a minion comes into play, if you choose, whether it's a Weapon's Runner, or Taskmaster.
Something else I just realized: Covert Ops is playable in Alter-ego.
This is pretty cool, because I don't believe I've ever ended two consecutive turns on the Alter-ego side when playing solo (well, I don't play Iron-Man so I presume it happens early game with him)
This card makes that much more feasible!

There's two copies of it. The one you see is 14/15 for Black Widow and card 10 of the pack. Agent Coulson is card 11 of the pack. Therefore 15/15 in Black Widow must be the same as 14/15.
Tracking all the cards on a spreadsheet is good for something

Are you the one responsible for that spreadsheet on Google Docs? I love that thing!

Feels very thematic for a spy to spend most of their time "undercover" in their Alter-Ego form.

If it's the one with multiple tabs and summaries, then I am, yes.
Also in the stream:
Safe House #29
unique 1 cost support
Location. SHIELD.
Alter-Ego Action: Exhaust to fetch a Preparation card from your discard pile to your hand.
Punch resource
Black widow card 6/15
Like Stark Tower basically.
Edit; Oh, I missed it in the original image posted further above. It's not in the article though, so reading the text would be a bit difficult without watching the stream.
Edited by MajushiReally looking forward to getting some cards that play off of the SHIELD keyword at some point...
Rapid Response for the Immortal Mockingbird!
Edit: Agent 13 and Hawkeye also good times.
Edited by AradonTemplarSo nobody asked about the playmats? I haven't heard anything about them.
It was asked in the chat but not addressed.

Falcon for that repeat snooping on the upcoming encounter cards (cards in the Thor pack are gonna love it).
It might be kinda broken for Fury.

He still goes away at the end of the turn (and he’s only defeated if he actually dies to an attack rather than being discarded) but the extra cards are pretty powerful whichever way you slice it...

Plus, you could play Nick, get his ability, use his ATK/THW, block with him, he dies, Rapid Response, get Nick's ability again, he blocks again.
Bonkers
That Rapid Response is absolutely an auto-include if you're running an ally-heavy deck dependent on high-cost allies with entering play or counter-utilizing effects. Even for high-cost allies that don't have any such effects it will come in super handy. If you've got an Enhanced Reflexes out Vision would be great to use this on.
I'd also like to point out that the BW signature card "Dance of Death" seems like it will be really versatile. If you look at the effect, it doesn't say you have to use each attack on a different enemy, it just says an enemy. So whether you just need to ping tough off of an enemy to set it up for somebody else and just use the rest of the damage on something else, deal six damage to one enemy, or spread it out over three enemies with different HP left, it can really fill a lot of different roles. Which, from what I can tell, is what Black Widow as a character is all about.
These guys are amazing designers. I am really impressed with how they've made each hero feel so unique.

6 damage for 3 is definitely low for a signature card but it is extremely versatile. It's not my favorite card in the set, but that's okay. Covert Ops is so bonkers good that it makes up for it.
