I think you are measuring gross profit whereas they are likely measuring net profit per unit.
Certainly net profit is more desirable, usually that is made up of faster moving products vs. slower moving products. At this stage this product is a fast mover, yet it is nigh impossible to get one. so.... they are missing out on profit. They also seem to want to make more money off of this line, and yet miss this opportunity. But I suspect you are being semantic on purpose.
