For those interested the FAQ in the non-Epic Battles Rules Reference has this entry on page 30:
"Q: If a ship is destroyed, when are effects that trigger upon its destruction resolved?
A: If it was destroyed during an attack, these are resolved during Step 6:
Aftermath.
Otherwise, these effects are added to the ability queue immediately (even if the ship would not yet be removed, such as due to the Simultaneous Fire rule or a card effect)."
So Raymus's ability "After you are destroyed, each friendly ship at range 0-1 gains 1 focus token. After you are destroyed, you are not removed until the end of the End Phase." gives out the focus tokens in the Aftermath step of an attack that takes his ship's last Hull or immediately when the last hull is removed outside of an attack.
