I am new to the game (no games played) and trying to create list for skirmish tournament.
I have rebel content from 2 core sets, Jyn Erso, Sabine Wren, 1 Pathfinders kit and 1 Rebel specialists kit. I want to create list with non-core content also. I think majority of opponents' list will be led by Vader/Luke (based on core sets).
There are two lists that came to my mind, but I don't know how exactly they will perform.

Sabine Wren (125 + 25 = 150)

Rebel Troopers (40 + 22 = 62)
--Z-6 Trooper (22)

First list feels more consistent for skirmish. Jyn can't face the melee characters that usually appear in skirmish matches. I would consider to drop 1 troopers+ z6 to include an ATRT, or drop 1 z6 to put Tenacity on Sabine (+medic droid on trooper?)

It’s true that Jynn isn’t going to survive in melee against lightsaber wielding opponents. But she is versatile with decent ranged and melee attacks, high ranged defense and good command cards. I think she’s underrated overall as a rebel commander.

Both lists look playable to me. I’m not sure what the competetive “meta” is for Skirmish but I have a feeling it will be prone to more bad matchups just because you can’t have the counter to everything in a 500 pt. list. But for what it’s worth, I would be happy to run either one of these lists.

Sabine Wren (125 + 29 = 154)
--Tenacity (4), The Darksaber (25)

Rebel Troopers (40 + 22 = 62)
--Z-6 Trooper (22)

--2-1B Medical Droid (18)

Alternatively I think about Jedi Mind Trick on Luke and Recon Intel on Sabine instead Hope and Tenacity.

Tenacity really fits on Sabine: she is hard to kill (if not overexposed) so she can easily get a good use for that extra melee red dice. And i am not a big fan of the Symbol of Rebellion Command Card, I usually put the standard 2 peeps card.

I usually run Luke+force reflexes+force push+recon, Sabine+darksaber+tenacity, 2 naked rebel troopers (or vets+mark II) and an ATRT with the 5 black dices cannon. It's scary how low on miniatures is this list, but for me is performing remarkably well in 500p skirmishes.
