Hey guys! Quick questions for you that came up tonight.
1. if an operative plays an operative command card and issues orders. Can fellow troopers with in range 1-3 use there courage value for panic?
2. If you are playing with two commanders can troopers use either commander for their courage when checking for panic? Or is it only the nominated commander?

Being a "nominated commander" for a round does not affect unit's rank (commander or operative), and units can only use the courage value of a commander-ranked unit.
You can only use an Operative's Courage for your other troopers if said Operative is selected as your acting Commander after the previous one was defeated (when you use the Commander token)
For the commanders I was always under the impression it was the closer of the two

The rule has no mention of which one is closer, you can choose any friendly commander at range 1-3:
"If a unit is at range 1–3 of a friendly commander, it may use that commander’s courage value instead of its own when checking to see if it is panicked."

Which also means if you have a 2 courage and a 3 courage commander and if your troops have 4 suppression and are only in range of the two courage, they’re going to panic and run. 👟 If I had a dollar for every time... 🤔 🧮

Also worth noting that a commander can make use of a better commander's courage if they're in range of one another.
