Set the bow-tie arc where it needs to be to support your wing mates, calculate as your action, get some rerolls on defense, fire missiles as needed without a tl thanks to 3p0’s calculate.
This seems fun! Points will tell us if this is better or worse than Sinker but I hope this with a couple of Jedis will be solid.
What possible combos are you getting excited about for wave 7?

If one of the four yet unknown cards from the LAAT/I Exp is the golden interpreter, then yes (but from faction to faction they change their ability). In the product image there are at least one crew card yet to be spoiled (ten are turned upside and they announce fourteen in the package) but I would like to see Yoda, since he arrived to Geonosis battle in one of these, and in CW series he used this ship a few more times (if I recall well)... Or Obi crew, he used it even more... We shall see who or what are those four remaining cards. Looking forward to field Secura and/or Fisto IN some Clone ARC´ s tho...

Or just take barrage rockets...which are better and probably cheaper than the combo of Multi Missile Pods and C3PO

Yes but 3PO gives you 2 Calculates and a defence reroll when you are Calculating. The LAAT is 1 defence so isn't great, but can still help. And having two green tokens is always good (especially with so many token shennnigans coming out)
That or Perceptive Co-Pilot. So it's always that Republic choice of do you want two lesser tokens and a reroll or just two good tokens.

Barrage are good but it’s the synergy with missile pods being able to be fired sans lock with a calc and the boost to defense that 3p0 adds that I’m excited for. Depending on points on the missile pods, you could be totally right and just barrage rockets may be the way to go. I’m optimistic that missile pods will be 5-7 points. Fingers crossed!

Those pods better be 5 or less points honestly. Range 1-2 still inhibits it's effectiveness a lot even if you gain the 180 arc for it. Specifically on the LAAT you're paying 8 pts for the right to even shoot the Pods without lock and for the mediocre defensive boost via C3PO. If C3PO was that effective for a single agility ship, we'd have seen it used on Wolffe already. Barrage Rockets cost 8 pts and are straight better than the Missile Pods.
