Weird thing I just noticed. In the article yesterday (and still now) the First Order Provocateur card showed it without the unique ship pip.

But the new points list has it with a unique pip.

I assume it's an error. It isn't that good or undercosted. I imagine they got carried away with the bullet points.

I like the pricing on the names ones but I keep coming back to thinking the generics are very overpriced:

+15 points over the I3 v1 Baron (/ba is the FO v1+)

+9 points over the I4 Interceptor (everyone keeps comparing Vonreg to Soontir)

Both of those are the closest comparable ship type as FO is the Imp+ faction.

I was surprised how cheap the named pilots were to be honest. I am not sure on the i3. I have to experiment with it but it does seem pricy.

I liked the idea of running Kylo and two I3s but we'll have to see if they ARE generic or not lol

the gap from i3 generic to i6 ace vonreg is 12 points
the gap from i3 generic to i6 regular tie fighter midnight is... 14 points

The gap from the generic I3 v1 to the I5 GI ace is 22 (yes there is 2 force but also only plus 2 Init to I5)

The gap from the generic I3 Tie to the I6 Howlrunner is 21 points

The gap from the I1 generic to I6 Soontir is 22 and from the I4 generic to Soontir is 17 but again, only plus 2 Init but no Force this time.

This game of naming gaps between pilots is fun, want to name some more?

IMO the I3/ba is still overcosted.

Maybe a bit. But adding a Shield and Targeting Computer to a Saber creates a 47 point ship. Comparison to a Baron of the Empire is of mixed usefulness, because Baron never gets 3 red dice.

The whole schtick where these things can be 2/3/2/2 or 3/2/2/2 is something I think is really going to have to be played out on tables to get a feel for it. These can double reposition, or double red dice mods, and there's just a lot of flexibility.

Again, I'm not saying the Init 3 is priced right. 45 does feel... a little high, but maybe not? Certainly, 40 points for these would seem really scary to me. There's a lot of space in between.

Higher on the low end and lower on the high end. Was totally expecting Vonreng to be 60pts and was on with that. Being less is a big bonus.

It's just an odd enough ship I'm reserving most of my judgement.

My favorite is comparison is scum falcon. i1 to i6 is 8 points. 😛 (and it's still not competitive, though the 3 point drop on the title helped).

Very excited for these Interceptors to be released. Have a interesting Vonreg, Kylo, Holo list waiting ...
