What 1.0 talents would you like to see in 2.0 that haven’t made the jump?

Mindlink was a bit much in 1.0. And with very limited options for stressing the enemy in 2.0, I don't think even 2 pips would be nerf enough.

I disagree. Scum struggles to have any synergy at all. Compared to other factions that have enormous synergy.

It doesn’t have to be a reprint. It can be curtailed with several options on added clauses.

But just the idea of 2 ships working so close together is awesome design space IMHO

Actually, with so many factions having multiple elicit slots, there needs to be a whole line of scum only elicits.

Adrenaline Rush, principally for TIE Bombers; it would make the Gamma Vets worthwhile too.

One reason Mindlink might easily be busted in 2e: there's far, far less stress control. One balancing point for 1e Mindlink was that an opponent could zap you with a stress, and then everyone has to deal with it. Passing the focus tokens was a short-term stop-gap for that, allowing somewhat to play around a little bit of stress. However, with almost all stress shenanigans out of the game, Mindlink is a lot safer, and a lot more under the control of the Scum player.

Mostly, I find it really hard to come up with a way to think of how Attanni Mindlink could work that's not just a free Focus token for someone. Maybe there is a price-point where that's not a bad thing for the game, but something close to 1e Mindlink seems pretty scary to me.

Something like Opportunist could be cool. Gaining a stress for some benefit to attacking a tokenless target was an interesting premise. I wouldn't want it to be "roll an additional attack die" since that's way beyond the power curve, but take a stress for a single reroll in the full arc? Maybe. I mean, I'd still want it to be like 8 points, but having a different high-cost talent than Juke or Outmaneuver could be nice.

Or instead of a stress token you take a strain token. Suddenly you have a talent that high-initiative ships won't want to take because they could be punished, but generics may feel comfortable knowing they won't get shot, and can simply clear the strain with a blue maneuver next round.

Is adding a focus result too much? A pilot would need to be focused to take advantage of the opportunity. A reroll feels kind of meh to me. You could even add a blank result, requiring a lock to make use of it, but that makes my generic TIE strikers and interceptors sad.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rage again, though I think it would be modified a bit and would be a force power.

I kind of always liked Stay on Target (didn't play it, just liked it as a concept). Would like if it existed again but had some amount of interaction with enemy ships, such as requiring an enemy ship not being in your forward arc, and maybe only strain instead of stress.

Expose could be a thing, with changes. Still think it would be bad as an action but maybe could be charge based and add strain tokens. And maybe could only be used on ships with a lower attack value? Nah, this is probably a bad idea altogether.

Wingman?

I know there are others talking about Attanni Mindlink. If they brought it back, I'd sort of like it to work on all green tokens and all red tokens, but also have another drawback. And be 2 pip limited of course. And probably exclude reinforce from the greens.
