And beginner games are also running out. The only ones I can still see in stock at places is The Force Awakens.

Maybe in LGS’, but Amazon has them all for $22

I just popped on Ebay.. dice going for £36.33, £37.99, £39.18, £38.03... or £70.99!! Cheers for driving the secondary market through the roof FFG... way to go. They don't give a s*** as they already have our cash from the first, initial printing..

I may even join those t*ss*rs selling dice for those prices and sell my unopened, brand new set no4 for about £40.. some sucker is bound to buy it.

PM me if you wish to buy a new set of dice at an exorbitant price - or swap for a Faberge Egg 😂

TBH they best way to stop this is just not buy the stuff at those prices. If I win the lottery or get a pay rise, I'll buy the lot then DONATE THEM TO A CHARITY SHOP

I feel for those players who've just got into this... I have a few D6 books and a few d20 source books for splat that I bought back in the day, Never had the cash to go all in with d6... looking back I REALLY should have done that paper round or sold a kidney on the Black Market.

But you can get all those d20 books for real cheap now. You just have to wait long enough....

Some of them. A used copy of Saga Edition Knights of the Old Republic goes for at least a hundred, but I've seen the next lowest price at 200. And if you had it brand new, Amazon values that at $1000.

Would you get a grand for it? Probably not, but still.

A new supplement for L5R was announced today, so at least there are still things happening for RPG’s.

As I think others have said elsewhere, those were books that were already in the pipeline, likely having been sent to the printers not long before (or after) the RPG department was shut down.

That said, it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that there might be one more Star Wars RPG book on the horizon (given as how said books have about a one year TAT from concept to publication), provided it was ready to go to print back in January.

With the announcement of The High Republic it’s just a shame FFG weren’t invited into the group.

Short sighted on Lucas licensing part...

Not surprising. The RPG's been treated like a red-headed stepchild since the special editions of the OT were a thing, from the dying days of WEG to now. About the only time in between those two points that the RPG line got any consideration was for the multimedia event surrounding The Force Unleashed. And even that was more along the lines of "Lucasarts want's tie-in products for their new video game," to which WotC used the opportunity to flesh out the Dark Times era for Saga Edition.

It may still be. Unless FFG wasn't planning to release any further books for this line roughly between March to July, they were most likely working on something.

How far along that something was depends on whether we'll get to see it, or if said something is just simply going to collect virtual dust on the company servers between when the RPG team was laid off and if/when FFG restarts work on producing new RPG content.

Release a High Republic sourcebook, you cowards.

The thing is that FFG never really got much of any advance warning or access to material, before Lucasfilm did their big announcement. They wouldn’t be able to start work on something until the public found out about it, and then they mostly got all the same information we did and had to use their imagination to fill in the gap.

So they’ve pretty much ALWAYS been treated like the red-headed stepchild.

Interesting. From the latest FFG Live:

Q: Is it true that the rpg division is shutting down?
A: RPG is not shutting down. We will have more information about that in the future.

Q: Will the L5R rpg continue?
A: RPGs will continue. We will have an announcement soonish.

Let the speculation begin.

im guessing freelancers

I just got a message from my LGS, where I ordered the Gadgets n Gears and Starships n Speeders, that they are informed the FFG is shutting down the RPG line and they are unsure whether they can complete my order or not for GnG.
