So I've played lots of x wing 1.0 tournaments and done very well but I'm new to 2.0. all I have is the core set and the rebel conversion kit. I have come up with a couple ideas for my first 2.0 tournament, monthly thing at my flgs. Of the lists I've come up with what do you think I should fly?

Thanks for the review and critiques

First off - ARCs aren't being played a whole lot currently, K-wings and VCX even less. The points change in a few days might change all that though so it's worth seeing what that does for you.

Less upgrades and more ships is one of the trends of second edition as compared to first edition, so your lists seem to fit in with that.

R5 is generally not a great upgrade because it takes an action, and you almost always want your actions for something else. If you want regen, R2 is better - but mostly on hit-and-run style ships, which these are not.

I'm kind of interested in a Lothal Rebel with Zeb as a blocker so I'd love to see how your first list goes but would possibly swap in Nora (no upgrades) over Ibtisam. My guess is the last list is most likely to do well.

Hera with three K-wings might be fun as well although it's counter-intuitive having the high initiative pilot as the blocker.

I definitely think the last list, as more of a swarm factor, is the strongest. Why, though, do you have Ibtisam in there too?

Because I like the way the Arcs fly I know he messes up the initiative thing that's going on

Nah, as long as you have a reason for the choice that's cool, I was just wondering because it didn't seem to be a natural fit

A couple options here.

OPTION 1: Tala -> Bandit to free up 2pts. Drop both r5s. 10pts freed up. With 7pts, add leia and zeb to lothal. r3 on shara for double locks.

OPTION 2: Drop r5s on both ARCS for Magva crew on Shara or Lothal. Tala to Bandit then add crackshot on ARCs.

OPTION 3: Drop both r5 droids and upgrade tala to Lt. Blount. r3 on shara.

You may want to think about Dutch in the Ywing over Garven in the Arc. Garven's ability is unpredictable and can (and will) fail you at the wrong times. Dutch is 100% if he gets a lock.
