I just noticed for the first time yesterday that the wording on Take Captive! is strange:
" Action: Take control of target attacking unit until the end of the turn. Move it to the attacked zone, declared as a defender."
The strange part is that if you follow the card hyper-literally, there's nothing on it that returns the unit to its original location at the end of the turn. In other words, according to a literal interpretation, after the end of the turn my opponent's card would remain in my zone but revert to my opponent's control. That strikes me as just plain silly, so I intend to keep playing it as if the whole card effect lasts only until the end of the turn.
Here's where it gets interesting, though -- and the reason why I took a hard look at the text yesterday:
My opponent attacked my kingdom zone with two monstrous units (six damage each). I played Take Captive to grab one of his two units. He played Forced March ("Move one target unit from its zone to another zone controlled by the same player") to move the unit I grabbed to one of my other zones, thus removing it from combat.
At this point we scratched our heads and said "Now what?" That's when we looked carefully at Take Captive! and realized that there's nothing on the card that would pull the unit back to my opponent's side of the board after being moved by Forced March.
Furthermore, I can think of several ways of rewording it that would clarify the most common usage, but still leave the Forced March combination unresolved.
Am I overlooking anything?
