Heavy Stormtrooper To the Last Man?

By MFL, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Can a Heavy Stormtrooper group use the To the Last Man agenda card?

They are a Stormtrooper group as written. Different than other Trooper groups that drop the "Storm" i.e. Riot, Jet.

Heavy Stormtrooper is not a Stormtrooper group although both have the Trooper trait.

Elite Deployment cards share the same name as regular Deployment cards. When a figure is called out by name (for example, "Stormtrooper"), this refers to both regular and elite versions of this figure.

I.e. when the name of a deployment card is referenced, it is an exact match and not a substring match.

I disagree. It says Stormtrooper. So if the deployment card called them "Heavy Troopers" it would not apply. This card doesn't apply to Riot Troopers and Jet Troopers. But I would allow it to any card named "X Stormtrooper."

You may disagree and house-rule, but that's what the rules say. I'm not sure if it's in the FAQ or if there's a public ruling for it, but Heavy Stormtrooper group is not a Stormtrooper group. These are not traits like Trooper , they are names.

just do it. its fun
