What is your assessment of Scums new jump5k pilot Nom Lumb?
POINTS MATTER but unless the ship and previously released pilots get a buff at next points adjustment we can assume Nom Lumb will cost in the region of 42-43 points (generic init 2 Contracted Scout currently costs 44)
at 42 pts would this be good enough to make your squad?
My take. Nom Lumb's pilot ability is an attempt to make up for the jumps horrendous movement dial. If the ship had a red coordinate action it would be much more useful. That 2 dice primary gives the jump5k pretty limited offensive capability without adding the Punishing One title or torps and as we know low initiative ordnance carriers are next to useless without passive sensors.
Adding Punishing One title actually might be worth it (as long as it stays at 8pts) bringing the ship cost to an even 50pts (assuming my guess about the points is on target)
Dengar gunner seems like a good fit with Nom Lumbs pilot ability giving the ship an annoying counterpunch ability that will either strip a green token or give a chance of the attacker suffering 1 damage. Aces might think twice about triggering Dengar. Paired with Capt. Seevor Nom Lumb could be quite annoying.
