If I won the initiative bid do I go first ever round or does it switch back and forth every round? Also do I go first in activating squads with the winning bid?

Normal rules are that the first player goes first every round as well as activates squadrons first in the squadron phase. If you win the "bid", you choose if you want to be first or second for the entire game.
