Patmos Amulet Question

By Seconis, in Tannhauser

I've searched every forum that I could find for an answer to this question and have not found a definitive one yet, which is something that confuses me quite a lot. My friend and I played Tannhauser for the first time the other day and I was playing as the Reich. I used the Patmos Amulet quite a lot since it didn't say that it was a one-use only item. Our question is, how does the Patmos Amulet's range work?

The rules say that the Amulet's range is equal to the mental value of Heizinger plus 1 and that the target does not need to be on the same path as Heizinger. That's all well and good. But does that mean that the amulet can go through walls? The reason that I ask this is that the rules for the weapon Doom explicitly say that the gun cannot shoot through walls, though it may shoot around walls. However, if the Amulet can indeed go through walls, then how do you determine if two circles are adjacent to one another through the wall?

Thanks for all your help.

The Amulet cannot go through walls. Count adjacent circles.

I think no item in the previous editon, nor in this one can't go through the walls. The reason is quite simple, you can only target adjacent circles and those aren't.

yea as stated, just count circles, doom is like a homing bullet, so it still tracks like missile
