I have a rules clarification question on Blaze of Glory (Way of the Force 75). Can this card be used to overkill a character? For instance, can I activate an Ewok with 4 HP and then remove all of an opponent’s damage dice, even if they total 8 damage? The rules reference does state, “A player cannot assign an amount of damage greater than the remaining health plus the number of shields on the character,” but that is specifically in reference to when a player is forced to distribute damage between multiple characters. In the case of Blaze of Glory, damage is just being dealt to one character. So in that case, would the line, “Any excess damage taken by a character above it’s health is ignored,” apply here?

Yes, you can use this card for an overkill. Bonus points if you had Diplomatic Protection on the ewok when you did it.
