Open letter to FFG on designer intended House decks

By playernumberone_2, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Dear FFG team,

I'm a long time customer but new to the AGOT LCG. I belong to that group of players which (next to others) are adressed by this product; to those players who intend to play it as an Out-of-the-Box game and not with the option of deckbuilding.

I've bought the two big expansions, since in they promised to include a new House deck:

"Kings of the Sea fully introduces House Greyjoy - the reavers and raiders of the Northwestern coasts of Westeros - to the A Game of Thrones metagame with a fully-playable Greyjoy deck."

"[...] Princes of the Sun expansion set, which includes all the core cards needed to play a House Martell deck in A Game of Thrones: The Card Game. "

Some people argue that the decks are incomplete and many fans here on the forums have given new players good advices on how to expand their decks. I don't know if they are incomplete, I don't think so, since this would contradict the statements given above.

But quite openly (or at least it seems to me), more cards are included than those meant to constitute the promised house deck. This is very confusing to new players. How confusing it is can be read in this forum and at boardgamegeek, there are many threads by new players adressing the special question which cards are meant to be used. But again, no official answer is to be found.

FFG has a great reputation for excellent customer service. So I kindly ask for transparency on the designer intended deck configuration of the Out-of-the-(Expansion-)Box Martell and Greyjoy House decks. This transparency would be granted by nothing more than a forum entry (or maybe a downloadable .pdf) referring to the intended deck size and the cards that were meant to be included. What a little effort in comparison to sending missing parts across the Atlantic or changing the component structure of a whole product line. A very few words would clear a lot of confusion.

Thank you very much!
