Armada Success Story

By Suermel, in Star Wars: Armada

Hey Guys,

just wanted to share a little Armada Success Story with you.

I live in southern Germany and got the Starter - Set of Armada in May 2017 as a birthyday gift (i never would have bought it by myself). From that Point on it took me almost a year until i found a first Amrada Player in my city. I started watching a lot of @Crabbok clips about armada and joined this community.

I also joined a local X-Wing - Group.

From that point on created a Whattsapp - Group for local Armada Games and started recruiting X-Wing Players and other Armada Players in my Area.

By now we have a active little Armada community here with around 8-10 Players. We started our forst RitR Campaign and our first local Armada Tournament will be in March 2020.

So safe to say - the game is far from dead and it is possible to create a local community.

I have spoken !

That's heartening to hear, and this is a great idea for a thread.

I'm from the US (Seattle, WA area) and we went from 6-8 players to two overlapping groups with about 10 players each. The release of the SSD and the Clone Wars announcement really invigorated people who were on the fence about picking the game up, or thinking about quitting. We also went from one regional to three primes in the state, almost four.

I'd love to see some stats, because there's good reason to believe this game has been given new life.

Awesome!

This is the way!

Really cool. I haven't meant anyone else around me that plays the game.

My only opponent has been my brother, he plays imperial.

I have seen a few people playing Xwing at some local comic shops, but alas no Armada.

I'm in Olympia, WA and have a small group that plays. I hardly see anything about Primes in the state or other higher level tournaments. Where can I find that sort of info to share with my group?

Washington has two Primes coming up, one in January and one in February.

Thanks! I may need to contact the stores for times since their websites aren't updated.

Yeah, I've had good luck with just calling stores. Also stores usually put events on Facebook quicker than their website in my experience (I live in Pennsylvania though).
