Well part two of the Haarlock trilogy will start for my group on the 29/05 and I wondered if any fellow GMs would like to impart any pearls of wisdom in my direction from their own experience of running it.
My initial reading of the adventure is that the Haarlock connection is flimsy at best; basically the Haarlocks left a demon trapped there and this demon can now sense the impeding return of Erasmus and wants to get the hell out of dodge. It doesn't actually shed any light on events beyond that. My acolytes basically know Erasmus is coming back, the clues to that in the HoDaA and TF are pretty blatant but Damned Cities doesn't appear to bring anything new to the mystery. I should clarify that as a stand alone adventure I think it is going to be damned (pun intended) good, just dissapointed by the Haarlock connection.
Also my acolytes are rank 5 and I will certainly be in including Spectre 17as without their involvement the other adversaries look on the weak side. I plan to use them as a rival group, perhaps stealing a WFRP tracking sheet, and monitor their own investigations in tracking the acolytes down. If they suceed I plan for them to ambush the acolytes in very favourable circumstances playing to their strengths. I will of course give the acolytes plenty of opportunities to uncover that there is another team actively trying to hunt them down. Any thoughts on the use of Spectre 17?
Cheers for now.
