3 IGs any good?

Not really. Just practice (I have flown 4 Arcs, and Sixxa+2M12 Kimogilas). Positive side effect is that it can confuse opponents which have not flown medium self neither encountered them often, as they have difficulties to predict where the medium base ends up.

I guess I should have said it would take practice, but I still think it could be tricky depending on obstacle placement.

I have tried 3 Aggressors and prefer the 2 Aggressor + third ship (4LOM). I would rather have two kitted out IGs(cannon and D) over three.

I played against a 3 IG squad back in 1E during a 150pts tournament; was pretty sweet.

that was my go to for awhile! we often played 150 points, so I'd run 3 IGs or 3 plump defenders. 4 IGs was fun in Epic as well

I played 3.

I played 2 + 88D friend.

Enjoyed both variants. But I have an unhealthy bias towards the aggressor. To the point where there was a time I wished I never bought anything else.

We've tried it at home and I've played against it, out and about.

Actually not bad. But sort of doomed in quite a few match ups. With a bit of green dice failure early on, almost inevitable with the few mods, one is just gone fast and the other 2 obviously then struggle.

But it is really neat and can be quite hard to play against, imo. The synchronisation of their abilities with a favourable range is very difficult to do well, but can create a decent advantage. Keeping all 3 going for an extra couple of turns more than expected can cause major planning issues for a lot of squads. Bonus Jam can offer some actual nuisance value.

Seem to me like they're just too expensive currently. Being able to swing each another upgrade or 2 would make quite a difference. That little extra damage/survivability in the 1st couple of engages, or some other bit of trickery.

(68) IG-88A [Aggressor Assault Fighter]
(2) Autoblasters
(1) Marksmanship
(1) IG-2000
Points: 72

(64) IG-88B [Aggressor Assault Fighter]
(2) Autoblasters
(1) Marksmanship
(1) IG-2000
Points: 68

(64) IG-88D [Aggressor Assault Fighter]
(2) Autoblasters
(1) Marksmanship
(1) IG-2000
Points: 68

Total points: 208

I mean. If this list only dropped 5pt, you could swap A for C... It's a little frightening. Drop 9 and you have the ABC Warriors, which looks like a perfect spearhead/scorpion thing.

Avoiding a few extreme match ups will always be there.

I dont think this looks that scary at all.

If you drop out A for C you lose the biggest trick for IGs anyway.

Using IG-88B with Marksmanship and Autoblasters is likely to be steongest at range one where its easier to get Bullseye and an extra dice but also thats where its least likely to be used. I would have said Tractor beam is better but thats been nerfed :(

I'd prefer A/C/D each with the title and Contraband cybernetics but that menas dropping them all by 3 points.
